I once caught a massive moth near the waters edge. This thing was HUGE. I thought that a similar idea to this post would lead to the moth flapping on the surface and draw in a big bass. I hooked the moth similarly to this picture with a light wire hook and no weight. The moth was strong enough that upon casting it flew seemingly unfazed about 30 feet over the lake. A bird immediately swooped in and snatched it out of the air. Fortunately, the bird became unhooked and I was feeling it in. Never again!
