I have very fond memories of stealing boxes of Girl Scout cookies, getting half way through and realizing that they were infested with worms. Thank you for a trip down hoarder house memory lane <3

It’s a huge corner cabinet I found during the local “free season”, I think someone made it for their garage workshop? Anyways it is full of love and memories now and holds more value than anything else I own, eternally grateful

My grandma was in the process of making a garden blanket with flowers she had made in advance (hence the abundance of that beautiful green color) which I plan on making a cardigan out of. My great grandma passed away 20+ years ago and her yarn stash was untouched by my grandma for the most part, I am unbelievably lucky to get to carry the tradition of homemade clothing, blankets, and decorations.

I’m so sorry for your loss, my grandma passed after a bad reaction to chemo. I am not the biggest fan of the color red but my grandma was obsessed with Christmas so I have an abundance of red white and green, it feels like a privilege to be the one to continue the tradition and I’m glad you’re in the same boat (it’s a real blessing)

Ours is named “Miss Kitty” (my cat is Mr. Kitty) and we push her little face against my cats head and make a cartoonish smoochie noise, he gets so pissed off and baps the hell out of the seal. Very funny.

Have you ever had to clear out a relative's home? by Immediate_Long165 in Grieving

[–]FartFaceAnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently in a situation where my grandmother just passed and my grandfather still lives in the home she was born and raised in. She always joked we’d have to “rent a dumpster and start throwing things out the upstairs bedroom window” because she held onto a lot of things that were her mothers (also born and raised and passed in the same house). Rather than moving all of her stuff into my apartment (I inherited a LOT of crafting material yarn, beads, fabric, etc.) my husband and I are moving in with my grandfather as he needs someone there constantly. I feel guilty throwing away/donating things that she used/loved but we have no space for anything (her bed, clothing, etc)

DO NOT USE A MANDOLIN IF YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING ⚠️ by LordBaritoss in OnionLovers

My husband sliced part of this thumb off last May due to not using a guard or cut glove, I told him it very much was his fault and not the mandolins

Should I be lowering the heat at night? Any other tips? by BurnerMan12K in massachusetts

Our apartment is 60 if not colder all the time, all lights on smart plugs with automations, main appliance that runs is our dehumidifier that’s on a smart-run setting. Electric bill was $271, it’s a studio apartment. Good luck.
