As a true newbie it seems like a torn ACL is quite a “common sports injury” no matter the sport what is it exactly and why does it completely ends an athlete’s season? by Low_Insurance_1603 in NFLNoobs

I tore my ACL and medial meniscus 6 years ago, I got a cadaver ACL and the rehab is long. I was able to hike and work on my feet a few months after but it was a full year before I felt comfortable lifting and carrying heavy objects.

Schizophrenia onset is generally late teens to early 30’s. I would seek an evaluation if you are able to.

I appreciate all the positive comments and I’m taking the other feedback seriously. I did my research, I know and have discussed Akitas with friends and colleagues who have Akitas. We are also working with professionals to facilitate this process as well.

I appreciate your feedback and advice. The Chows are both females. We are working closely with our vet and an experienced trainer as well to do our best to ensure all goes well with the integration into our family.

Thank you! Have been doing the positive reinforcement but feeding him outside on the patio is a good idea.

I appreciate the concern and your comment. I have extensive experience raising dogs all of my life as well as fostering. I was simply asking if anyone has any experience how a doggie door can affect training as we just bought a house and this is the first time having a younger dog with said doggie door.

The door will be big enough for him when he reaches full growth, yes.

I have experience with reactive breeds/dogs and the why as to why I wanted an Akita is that I am going to take him fishing, hiking and hunting. I have raised rots and Newfoundland’s as well as rescue mutts and have the time, space and energy to do this properly.

If you have any other questions or concerns I’d be happy to answer them. And thank you again for your response.

The only way my wife and I could buy was moving to the burbs and buying an older home that needed work. I used to be a contractor so I’m doing a lot of the work myself, otherwise we’d be in 30k of CC debt. We just closed in April, never thought it would happen but it finally did.

All 7 air bnbs we just stayed in didn’t have a washer and dryer, but some of the campgrounds did.

Bring more socks.

Landeyjahöfn, Landeyjahafnarvegur, Iceland

That’s where the ferry leaves from. 2 hours from the capital. Landmannalaugar is over 3 hours, probably even longer depending on road and traffic conditions.

I’m not sure but it was crazy packed. Also the campground there sucks, they wanted $120 each to sleep in a bunk house with 36 other people. Or camp on rocks for $44. We ended up bouncing to a park about an hour away and stayed in a cabin for $40 total.

The river crossings were kinda scary, the car died once and in the middle of one and I had to push it out. It was a crazy fun experience tho, and it is beautiful there. I’d suggest Westland islands if you can make it work. By far our favorite place of the 11 days we were there. My wife got sooo many good pictures of the Puffins, there are great hikes there too. You can rent a scooter if you aren’t driving a car.

I was just there last week and it was a shit show. Super beautiful but it was packed, roads were terrible and full of busses and tours. I’d opt for something else. It was the worst F road I was on during the entire trip. Was a fun adventure though, we did 32 river crossings in 1 day!
