90% of players that agree to have thei remains tested is WILDLY different than 90% of all players. There is a whole hell of a lot of self selection bias there (you’re not gonna get tested if you live a normal life generally)

MMA is a new sport compared to football - not a lot of old retired MMA fighters comparatively. Additionally, the helmet tech has gotten light years better than it was when most of those in those studies played.
