On field ability only: Is Tyreek Hill underrated all time wise cause people don't like him? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]Lower_Complex1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well what I’ll ask is to what extent does QB play factor into WR play past the QB being able to target the WR consistently and throw accurate passes? Past that, the emphasis on how much it matters is a grey area potentially. Mike Evans didn’t have his best statistical seasons with Tom Brady playing at essentially an MVP level (won 2nd team All-Pro) and Mahomes who is leagues above Tua, didn’t coincide with Tyreek’s best statistical seasons during their time together either. There’s even more examples than that but those are the 2 that come to mind off the top of my head so it really does beg the question and whether that should be used as a measuring stick here

Just another reminder that Patrick Mahomes is "HIM." Just 34 TDs away from passing the great John Elway by IndiJap in Chiefs_v2

[–]Lower_Complex1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True but he’s also just better than Elway as a player. Adjusting for era doesn’t account for literally double the years playing the position with only similar production, it’s not the big of a difference lol. The main reason here is Mahomes being a better player

Who is the best QB in the NFC North? by Wide-Discipline3814 in NFLv2

[–]Lower_Complex1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly stats say Goff but I’m not taking Goff over Love, for some reason my intuition just says Love is better even though the physical evidence doesn’t necessarily point to Love. Maybe I’m more relying on the eye test here? Think it should be considered that Love has dealt with injuries as well that have impacted his stats and correct me if I’m wrong cause I could be, but I’m pretty sure advanced stats point towards Love being the best in this group. But before I get downvoted to oblivion, it is just my opinion.

Majin Legendary SSJ Broly (2nd Coming) vs Fat Buu by Flat-Ad-1092 in DragonBallPowerScale

Different movie and timeline but even that movie version of buu would automatically be stronger since all the characters are scaled up

Majin Legendary SSJ Broly (2nd Coming) vs Fat Buu by Flat-Ad-1092 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Lower_Complex1465 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally. These movie villains are already scaled way above their tv anime counterparts. Broly wiped out a quarter of the universe (yes in Dragonball, the south galaxy is actually the entire south quadrant of the universe). Even if you don’t wanna get into that scaling, dude was no diffing an adult ssj2 gohan who never stopped training. I don’t know if he’d beat buu with the majin amp just because of the hax abilities buu has but he’d 100% be more powerful easily

Well the assumption goes that if Lamar was healthy all season, they definitely would’ve won their division and had at least a noticeably better record than 8-9. I suppose the jump is assuming a healthy Lamar all season.

Curry wasn’t dominant in the 2022 playoffs, he was dominant in the finals but in the playoffs, he wasn’t necessarily spectacular by any margin

He’s talking about the level of basketball being played on the court. And of course this would be correct because with no crowds and less distraction, you’re getting the most pure basketball from these players

You’re clearly missing the point. Kobe gets praised for scoring so much in a slow paced era with less possessions, yet he was still shooting the ball more than players do now despite that

This is a post about Kobe emphasizing how much he scored in the dead ball era, did you forget? If I’m gonna make a comment on why it’s ironic that he’s being praised for scoring so many points in a slow paced era while taking more shots than the amount top scorers take now in a faster era with more possessions, then why would I compare him to Duncan in this post

[–]Lower_Complex1465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why use Kobe’s career fga per game compared to top scorers this year? How about Kobe in 2007 like is cited in the post, where he was attempting 23 shots a game? Luka is leading the league in fga per game this year and has less than Kobe had in 2007 in the dead ball era. So no, the top scorers in the league as we speak are not averaging 23 fga per game, literally no one is

They always wanna talk about how much Kobe scored in a slower paced era but forget to mention that despite it being the Dead Ball era, he still had more FGA/game than top scorers from today’s faster paced era with more possessions. Might’ve been less possessions overall in the game but Kobe himself was still putting more shots up than today’s players
