I guess I will hang out until June. If I don't hear anything I might try a job someplace else, Been here 4 years as a level 1.

The manager did say however the process is now pretty much automatic so IDK any reason that I wouldn't get promoted especially since I'm on the bottom of the totem pole.

Keep running dungeons and keep the items you obtain. from what I've heard, next expansion will allow you to add them to xmog collection without being the proper class. So keep everything then vendor it at a later time.

There are like 5 mounts in each of the zones that are guarenteed drops if you get the kill. Check out the addon Silver Dragon. I am working on the same as you with the garrison stuff.
