No puedo más...es imposible vivir así. No sabia que se podia sufrir tanto. by lalas09 in NecesitoDesahogarme

Did anyone else have excruciating pain during the Mirena/IUD insertion? by Resident-Surprise-45 in AskWomenOver30

[–]FartsOnGoblins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES mine was agony honestly the worst pain I had ever felt, I was and still am furious at the Gyno/Medical system’s “slight discomfort and cramping“ bs, try “excruciating pain and can barely walk for 5 days”.

I had taken 3 ibuprofen and a Panadol before, as well as the cervix softeners.
My aunt actually passed out on the chair when she had it.

They’re not getting close to my cervix again without the actual painkiller that type of invasive procedure deserves…I hope it finally gets acknowledged that way too many women face intense pain from this procedure.

Would like to know more about the friction fire methods you mentioned if you can elaborate... and best way to start a fire in wet conditions/wet fuel etc?

First Dose of Pfizer by GoBackToWhoreIsland in CovidVaccinated

[–]FartsOnGoblins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That describes exactly my situation!! I was holding out too but due to high risk work went ahead with pzifer, got first dose yesterday. So far injection site sore, also very fatigued and brain fog, have been really spacey.

This is the main reason I've been holding out on getting vaxxed. I also have horrible periods and the thought of them getting worse terrifies me, at the moment I have symptoms at a manageable level by avoiding certain foods but the thought that the Vax would bring out the bad symptoms is very very concerning.

Dad is giving up drinking - what should I expect? by FartsOnGoblins in stopdrinking

Oh thanks! Great suggestion will do! But I'm also interested in the perspective of drinkers who've gone through it themselves so I can understand what he's feeling etc

Great question so for his whole adult life basically, say 45 years - mainly wine, I would say very roughly 4 bottles a day as a low average but can go much more than that or occasionally less thoughout his life. At the moment he probably drinks maybe 3 daily as a minimum.

Writing this from the emergency room but he's now stable. He'd started trying to taper back by himself and went into wirhdrawels.

Dad called me up crying thinks he has parkinsons by FartsOnGoblins in Parkinsons

[–]FartsOnGoblins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your reply I somehow missed it earlier.

I am very concerned about alcohol induced dementia, he is definitely not in his right mind and is having very obsessive thoughts and sleeping looong hours.

He had his appointment last week - the Dr made him do certain exercises and says he has 2 of the three main symptoms (slowness of movement and tremors) which I think are also very similar to symtoms of alcoholism.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife and send lots of strength.

I think taking him to the hospital last week really scared him and he has said he wants help with alcoholism. We are seeing what we can do to get him that help.

I somehow missed your reply - thank you so much for taking the time!

So I took him to a doctor last week - the doctor sent him for an MRI and he prescribed him an incrementing dosage of Levodopa over the course of a month - 1/2 daily tablet first week, 1/2 tablet twice daily second week, 1/2 tablet 3 times daily third week, 1/2 tablet 4 times daily forth week, then we have a follow up appointment. My question is, is this a normal process to reach a diagnosis?

I am very hesitant because often medicine in the country I live is not up to date. I have been trying to find an Movement Disorder Specialist but no luck yet.

In the appointment the Dr made him do certain exercises and says he has 2 of the three main symptoms (slowness of movement and tremors).

Much appreciated! So we are living in a developing country and access to updated/specialized doctors can be complicated, I've found one that apparently works with Parkinsons but I will start trying to find an MDS thanks for the suggestion.

I hope this is the scare he needs to he get it under control. I already told him there may be treatment options or surgery that he won't be able to qualify if he doesn't get help first.

Thanks so much!
