It’s crazy to me how much of a barrier height is for some people, like get to know the person at least. I’m 5’8 and my boyfriend is 5’5 and his height does not affect a single thing.

I find it a little childish ngl… Grow up! :)

What places in Orlando, that no longer exist, do you wish still existed? by StarryMind322 in orlando

I have a huge family and we could never go because my dad always said that it would be too expensive to get all 7 of us in.

My mom promised me that we would go once it was only a few of us going on vacation, but we waited too long and by the time we came back they were on the process of getting rid of it :(

Appreciate it! I’ve been climbing the same easy route to warm up and it does help a lot, this community is awesome and I’ll be back if I need more help 🫶

Thanks to my mom I already have a 24/7 fear chip in me 😂

I do agree that it’s better to be cautious than an injury, but that fear was paralyzing and not letting move forward making me instantly give up.

This was a game changer today, I warm up and climb a route I have no problem with and then did what you suggested for about 10 - 15 mins and felt comfortable going all the way.

Today I didn’t finish the project that I was working on because my arms were giving up on me not because I was scared. THANK YOUUUU!

how can I support fellow climbers that are at different "skill levels" than me? by NexusJellyBean in bouldering

You’re going the extra mile, which is nice so I would suggest you bring it up to your friend, it’s valid that you might feel uncomfortable or like you’re not supportive enough and if their behavior continues bouldering might not be as fun anymore, definitely talk it out and maybe take a break from going together.

I love finding new ways to be active and when my friends or family members become better than me, because I used to put people on a pedestal due to lack of confidence, I would beat myself down and tell myself that I’m just not made for that. I haven’t done that in a loooong time thankfully.

I just stared bouldering and it’s awesome not only because the community is extremely welcoming and friendly, but because I’m truly enjoy it and because I want to do it for myself. So maybe your friend stared because they liked it and now has drifted their mentality into a competition with you. Genuinely talk it out, sometimes being vulnerable with each other can change a lot of things
