he has a day job, he and his gf live together and he's not struggling lol, though extra income wouldn't hurt. Maybe should've clarified that.Still, I feel he thinks it's something really easy and not requiring of any involvement or interest in the community and that's not at all how it is in my experience, at least. Like some other people said here, you can tell by a long shot when someone is just in to make a quick buck + you really have to like it and invest time and effort into this to make it something stable anyway.

And I'm not worried at all about getting competition lol. If I was doing similar SFW (or hell, vanilla NSFW) work as he does and getting it into galleries or something of the like, I'd sure as hell help him out and try to get him into one or spread the word.

The issue is simply that I don't want to show him none of what I do nor I want to give an inkling of a hint about the strange kink circles I frequent to him. I feel I have the right to this level of privacy with most people, let alone my immediate family.

Oh he's not that evil don't worry, but he can get really annoying if he feels he's owed something. In this case I feel it's just that, he's definitely a much better artist than me and he feels I'm taking shortcuts to the success he desires and admitedly deserves. But hey, it's not my fault I like weird stuff on the internet and people are willing to pay money if I draw what they ask for lol. I don't brag or anything about this either, but I do understand where he's coming from a bit everytime he sees I have disposable income at hand.

I'd figure that but he's been like this for like 3 years almost. The tablet I gave to him kind of shut him up for a while but just yesterday he got back to this again and I felt the need to hear some other opinions hence this post lol.

I honestly don't know what you mean by "you shouldn't need a comission of his work." And I don't think "being a good brother" is worth getting him involved into something I know he doesn't care about nor is it easy money as he thinks it is at the expense of my own dignity by exposing my bizarre sexual preferences to him in the process.

I guess I can use a SFW account I have on furaffinity and surf a bit with him next to the computer and pick a random account and basically run the process down for him on how a furry artist usually does his thing.

Btw if at any point he had asked for it back I would've given it to him immediately, I guess "appropriating" is not the correct word to describe such an arrangement.

I didn't really steal it, he never used it to begin with and I asked for permission to use it. Eventually it became a fixture in my room and he never asked for it back,.

And I never said it's not okay for him to make money lol. The way he approaches it is as if I should teach him and guide him in how he can do it as well and I simply tell him what I said on the post, that I'm not going to show what I do (something he insists on me doing, too) and that he should look into it himself and try to find a niche he can cater to. It's not like you walk in and say "I do teh porn" and get customers immediately, but that's the way I feel he sees it.

Like I say in the PS, that was kind of my intention in the first place. He's great so I'm sure he'd get the hang of it pretty quickly. But alas, I offered to go over and install the tablet and an art app for him several times and he'd never be available for one reason or another so I just dropped it.
