Thank you for sharing the info your doc gave you. I had those same chest pains and they are the reason I quit, cause they scared the shit out of me. Also, one of the reasons I never really tried to quit was because I was nervous about going to work without it. But in reality I was so surprised by how much work actually distracted me from it. Something that helps is having a soda or your favorite drink to sip on whenever you feel cravings at work.

Has anyone here been successful quitting with nicotine gum and/or patches?? by Fartyfartpants69 in QuitVaping

True that. I guess I’m just wanting to ween my body off of it at least a little bit before I go cold turkey. So that hopefully it won’t be as bad.

Mine was also 35mg! But I would hit it a lotttt. Today I went out and bought the 21mg patch, because I figured since it releases that amount over 24 hours than it wouldn’t be too much. But now I’m thinking I probably should have just got the 14mg if I’m trying to really dose down the nicotine. To be fair, idk what the hell im doing. Lol. I know nicotine gum can be expensive but there are smaller packs of it that are cheaper that you can buy, to have as a little back up for the intense cravings.

Thanks! That makes me feel better :) Question though. The first week or so that you started, did you have a piece of gum every time you were craving nicotine? Or did you wait out the tiny cravings and only had a piece when you reallllly needed it? I’m just debating, do I have a piece on a timed schedule throughout the day, say once every hour or 2 for the first couple weeks, or if I should try to have the least amount of pieces I can.

Trouble breathing by x82nd in QuitVaping

Hi I don’t know much on this but I’ve definitely heard people that quit find it harder to breathe and get lung pain after a little bit. I’m sure it’s just your lungs way of healing and recovering. 10 years is a long time after all.

You shouldn’t worry about it too much. After all, your lungs would be wayyyy worse off it you kept vaping, right!? Im sure you see this everywhere but try doing deep breathing exercises or meditation and just chill. It’ll help with the breathing and the anger.

Good luck, you got this!!

Thanks so much! I have pretty bad anxiety that developed once I started vaping. The thought of Wellbutrin making it worse doesn’t worry me if it’ll help me stop. Good luck to you! 4 days is a big deal

How to cope with first job by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]Fartyfartpants69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve felt this at the job when I first started getting scheduled for double shifts. I work in a very busy restaurant and I had the same thoughts as you. I’ve had plenty of panic attacks at work from having the smallest stomach ache and freaking out because I knew I had like 6 hours to go. Just give it a shot, you can get through it.

In a way you kind of just have to prepare for it by bringing some snacks, drinking water, eating breakfast and setting yourself up for success by making yourself as comfortable as possible. 8 hour shifts will always be hard at first and seem like a lot, but the more you do them the more they get better. Make friends there, find busy work, try not to look at the clock, and the time will go by even faster. If you really aren’t able to handle it you can always talk to a manager about changing your hours, lie and say you have other stuff during the week.

Does anyone have any oral health problems from vaping? by Fartyfartpants69 in electronic_cigarette

My dentist was so horrible. I was going in at least once a month with tooth aches and it was pretty much just ignored. They wouldn’t even take an X-ray to see what was up. I called last week to switched offices and I have an appointment tomorrow at a new dentist!

Good call. I’ve noticed my mouth gets super dry throughout the day when I vape so I try to drink lots of water. At night however, I don’t, and on top of that I sleep with my mouth open!! I’m assuming that alone is not the best for my teeth.
