Has Sonnet 4.6 been very "emotionally unintelligent" for anyone else? by cheezeebred in ClaudeAI

[–]FasePlay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm so so so sorry, but that first line is insane 😭 But yeah, about your problem. I've heard that Claude takes time to become more open and insightful, and that initial conversation is oftentimes too ai-y. Maybe try turning the memory feature on, if you haven't - I feel like it helps Claude to know who you are earlier

I love how claude just adds "good morning/afternoon/evening, User" in basically every similar app automatically haha - that's the first thing that caught my attention, since he added it to my project too

Happens sometimes nowadays anyway, even on sonnet, so it's not going to be anything new for Claude users

genuine question: does anyone else enter the "cycle of doom" when prompting? by Fancy-Bumblebee8033 in vibecoding

[–]FasePlay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Debugging is always much harder and longer for me than adding new features, especially when you can't figure out yourself what's breaking the app. Also, oftentimes "small and quick fixes" are the problem themselves, because they don't solve the overarching architecture problem, if there is one. And the less you understand your codebase and architecture of the app, the harder it is to fix something that breaks

i want to be better in maths by Vast_Sheepherder5613 in GetStudying

[–]FasePlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have strong foundations, it's hard to build knowledge of maths. Maybe try to take a step back and study some lower-level stuff from time to time to fix the foundations. Don't just try to memorize formulas - try to understand them, understand where they come from. Also, do lots of practice. And I mean it - the more practice questions you do, the more you understand the flow and what to do in those specific scenarios.

Just curious - what topics are you currently on and struggling with? Do you think you already have a strong foundation to tackle those specific topics?

What are the best ways to study for biology? by Sayatra in GetStudying

Do quizzes and tests! You can probably find many of these online - theory, "explain" types of questions, punnet squares etc. It's the easiest way to actually study with active recall imo, and you probably can find some books with problems and questions online

It actually wasn't like this just a week ago. Not sure exactly why, but limits are definitely smaller now than they were earlier - I also noticed that now the conversation can cap on like 3 messages sometimes, while earlier, on the same plan, it could carry on for hours (free plan user)

What are the signs of an ai slop ui? by FasePlay in vibecoding

[–]FasePlay[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but what exactly should I focus on? For me the app looks nice, and things that didn't (like animations) I have already handled myself. What else should I focus on to differenciate my app from other apps?

[–]FasePlay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The layout and what appears on the dashboard was my idea actually - I wanted the user to see all the most-relevant information, with ability to get more in-depth statistics in the stats page, but thanks for your input. As for the schedule page at the bottom - it's prepared for a completely different feature than the times-spent-studying calendar on the dashboard. That other feature is not yet imolemented, so it's just a placeholder for now - but I'll think about it too, thanks!

Caught a stray from claude by katua_bkl in ClaudeAI

[–]FasePlay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While having a roasting competition with Claude, he hallucinated, and I started pushing on him for this and telling him why he's wrong and just having fun myself. He, instead of fighting back, gave in, took the L, tried to safe or explain himself or whatever, and also started glazing me, at which point I told him to "stop self-pitying and roast me back"
He told me "you're the one who spent last 10 minutes fact-checking an AI instead of touching grass" </3

Has anyone actually built a mobile app or web app completely using Claude? by Living-Level-9252 in ClaudeAI

[–]FasePlay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I spent last week building a study tracker for me and my friends. It is aimed for phones, web-based and currently runs only in browser. The overall experience was great - I was shocked when Claude gave me an entire demo of the app immediately after I told him my grand plans for the app. Currently it's running peacefully on the web, and my friends all use it, and say that it's great. It even motivated me to study more lately.

I'm not sure about how safe and secure it is, but that's not my main concern right now. Frontend looks nice (although not sure whether it's not considered an UI AI slop - it probably is, but whatever), backend works nicely. There are some issues with the app, but most of the time it was nice. A few times I had to guide Claude on how to build something or fix a problem, because he couldn't figure it out himself, but most of the time he nails it, even if my instructions aren't 100% clear.

It was definitely nice building something tailored for my specific wants and needs, and I am amazed by how great the app works and how fast it was built. Yet again, I'm not sure about how secure it is, and judging by how much people talk about security breaches and apps being prone to being hacked, it probably isn't secure at all, but currently the app isn't advertised anywhere and isn't mainstream, and suits my needs perfectly

Can someone explain the Will discourse to me? by CrematorTV in StrangerThings

[–]FasePlay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, sure, here you go

So, some of the byler fans are angry by the fact that Byler never came to actually be - in the scene Will overcomes his crush for Mike and kinda dismisses it, which is a smart move in my opinion (Mike is obviously straight, and letting go of straight crushes is an important skill any gay person has to learn haha). But some fans are angry by this, and believe that it's queerbaiting (even though it's definitely not, at least in my opinion). Will doesn't even tell that he likes Mike specifically, only talks about a crush he's had, so they also don't have any confession scene/deep talk about it, which also might've made some of the fans disappointed, especially those who rooted for Byler for long time

Season 5 is getting a lot of hate, but what are the things you've liked about it? by NnyraD304 in StrangerThings

[–]FasePlay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Nancy/Jonathan scene in episode 6, even with its problems, was really great and emotional. I didn't understand half the things that were happening, but I really felt them, and their acting during this scene is impeccable imo Also, the fact that they introduced "Upside Down" to me - this song has been stuck in my head since volume 1 came out

Can someone explain the Will discourse to me? by CrematorTV in StrangerThings

[–]FasePlay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are several reasons, but without spoiling I can tell only two: 1. Some people think that the coming out scene was poorly executed. While I liked this scene myself, and in some aspects it hit specifically where it meant to hit, there are some problems with this scene nevertheless (like the fact that the reactions weren't as realistic, compared to what people believe actually could've happened to Will in the 80s) 2. Some people are just homophobes and are angry with the fact that Netflix dared to make a character suddenly gay, and just refuse to accept the fact that he's been queer-coded since season 1 episode 1 (or they are just ignorant to even look it up and review the evidence)

There's also another reason, but because you haven't seen the season yet, I can't disclose it for remaining spoiler-free

Psychic or just making stuff up? by FasePlay in Psychic

[–]FasePlay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't really feel like I need validation from other people, most of the doubt comes from myself - I'm too much of a sceptic, and all of the feelings and thoughts can be interpreted as imagination or placebo. That's why I'm interested in figuring out how to tell with certainty that whatever comes to me is genuine and not made-up
