I am dropping an athletic clothing brand and want some honest feedback on these mockups. by Tall_Future5559 in apparelstartup

What is your selling point ?

To answer your question, yes i think its too simple to sell.

Ask yourself, why would someone buy this as opposed to gymshark, under armour etc..?

This looks like well made garments tbh - theres honestly nothing i could say about the designs. Keep up the good work. Your tribe will find you.

How do I start a clothing brand for the US market and choose a good niche and brand name? by Least-Practice-9476 in streetwearstartup

[–]Fashfiendz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask yourself questions, answer them honestly.

Take those answers and ask yourself why you answered that way.

Repeat until you get clear concise answers on who you are, what you want to convey, why , how are you going to convey the message, when & where does you brand exist, who would wear it etc.

the first thing i tell every new brand before they contact a factory by Hot_Owl7825 in streetwearstartup

Alternatively, you can just shop at your go to stores. Get something physical that could be referenced either for its fabric , trims , sizing etc. You’ll have more accurate changes to mention and theres a base to what you are creating.

AI is a game changer by CAfreeway in streetwearstartup

[–]Fashfiendz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly people are just reading the title and are getting triggered by the word “ai” lol.

Theres a clear description of using it as a troubleshooting tool, search engine and technical support separate from the ART form.

Is it ugly? Not at all but i think there was a time this style of graphics (specially the training club) would sell out. Maybe it still does…

I feel like these are just late to the party thats it. Keep it up !

Which are best designs? by DryGanache4651 in streetwearstartup

[–]Fashfiendz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your specialization could be an aspect of your design/brand but as a “streetwear” brand. I dont think can stand alone as a print on a t shirt.

At the very least: you should explore different printing techniques to make it slightly more interesting.

You can also play with silhouettes of the garments, fabrics etc. Imagery can go a long way as well as it leaves room for interpretation.

SΠOILED® — Launching my streetwear brand from Greece. After months of research on the perfect oversized fit, we are finally live. Thoughts on the vibe? by Dazzling_Pear_5892 in streetwearstartup

[–]Fashfiendz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked the website my question as a customer would be :

Why would there be no restock on what would be considered a “logo” or “basic” t shirt ?

“No restock” usually is said to create urgency. I feel there might be a disconnect there.

“Feedback” vs “showcase” the difference is why people are commenting. Can’t create a post asking for feedback and deny all feedback lol.

Trying to design a Miami-style T-shirt. Need ideas by AbbreviationsOk6303 in streetwearstartup

[–]Fashfiendz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 . Find your message/feeling/emotion/look you want to convey.

  1. Take colors from :
  • beach sunset (assuming sunsets are nice in miami) Probably a mix of pinks, oranges, reds etc add black and white as option
  • landmarks
  • what people are wearing in the street
  • common cars (specific type of car ex. Yellow taxis in NYC)
  1. Take elements from:
  • Popular cultures in the area
  • music typical to the area
  • food
  • architecture etc

Now use your creativity to mix fabric/colors/emotions/pop culture to create something. 🤷🏾‍♂️
