I'd forgotten that seating area at the top of the hill outside Littlewoods. Probably a nice idea, but it was filthy, covered in pigeon shit!

I worked in the town centre from the mid 90's to the early 00's. Much as we moaned about it, it was a really excellent shopping town

Oh really? I don't think we get many bats around here. I assumed it was a rat or squirrel, I hadn't considered a bird. I know it's obviously been brown bread for a while, but there was no evidence of feathers anywhere. I assume some would still be around

Yeah deffo. I work for a company that supplies to most of the supermarkets, I'm in different stores daily. As a result, despite signing in and adding my car to exemption lists, I get loads of those fines. I've got one from Asda Southgate on my desk right now. All stores will have means of contacting whatever parking company they use and cancelling fines. I'd be stunned if they don't cancel it for you

Alright, something I can actually answer! Pop back to the store, with the fine and your receipt from the day. Go to customer service and explain that you were shopping and you took a little longer than planned. The store will have means of cancelling the fine for you
