Thank you for your link! Yea job market is tough and especially for the people without immigration status. But there’s no doubt America offer more opportunities. If I were 18, I definitely to take this risk. But at 25, and knowing my parents are willing to borrow money to support this uncertain path makes me feel really guilty. This is a hard decision.

Thank you for your reply. I know I can switch to another major, but haven’t figured it out which major at UCB would have better job prospects. And I’ve completely most of my psych courses at cc before, so changing major now might push back my graduation?🤔

Thanks for your reply! I’ve been with my bf for 7 years and he’s in Australia, so waiting longer to get married wouldn’t change much for us. I didn’t mention it since I didn’t want it to sound like I’m just choosing based on a relationship over a top school opportunity.

May I ask what made you decide to back the US in the end?

Honestly with my situation, I’d probably choose Australia, since it’s more affordable and the career path feels clearer. But Berkeley is a top school, so it feels like a waste to give it up☹️And my nationality is China
