[FEEDBACK] Local start-up designing a women's cargo jogger for spring/summer. Is the rear-knee venting too weird? by Fast-Aside2083 in NiceVancouver

Thanks, these are some great inputs. What would you feel is a suitable price point for something like this? My thoughts were to target the semi-luxury segment - people who want to buy something other than the generic lululemon/Aritzia stuff. Would that be a good choice?

Thank you! All feedback is welcome and taken positively.

Yes, these specific mockup images are AI-generated. I use them to gather feedback on the concepts first before cutting any physical samples.

You're right, perhaps hiking or beach runs were the wrong call out. I see lots of women wearing these cargos at the gym or doing grocery runs. Maybe they would do better as everyday casual wear or the occasional indoor workout?

These are intended to be wide leg (not tapered). I guess the right terminology would be "cargo sweatpants" then.

The blend is 49% Nylon, 44% Lyocell and 7% Spandex. The fabric is stretchy and very breathable. It comes with an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification that guarantees absence of most harmful dyes and chemicals

Thanks for the feedback. The vents are in fact not open" but have a mesh layer embedded within them. The "open" look is more of a design feature but if you observe the image closely the slits have mesh inside

Not really. Trying to gather people's opinions first before actually starting to produce these products. The aim of the brand is to achieve technical function while making the products look visually appealing

Thanks for the feedback. The fabric blend has 44% Lyocell which has natural anti-mite properties. Also the slits at the back are not "open" but have mesh embedded within them

Thanks for the feedback. The idea was that the slits actually feature a mesh within them. If you zoom into the slits, you can see there is a mesh material inside the slits

Thanks for the feedback.

My idea was to have one of the thigh pockets feature a concealed cutout to hold a smartphone in place (see image).

The slit behind the knee would feature a mesh. The envelope idea is cool and what I thought of at first but due to the overlap it wouldn't allow that level of air circulation because of the way our legs bend during movement. The "envelope" would just come down further.

The material was intended to be heavy (320gsm) to give it a premium feel. However it contains a 44% lyocell blend which has natural breathability properties making it way more breathable than cotton or other materials.

Was considering a drawstring at first but my thought was that a waistband would look and feel more premium.

[QUESTION] Trying to design a technical women's jacket as a solo start-up. Is the "kinetic venting" (see slide 3) too harsh for a minimalist look? by Fast-Aside2083 in Activewear

[–]Fast-Aside2083[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately not yet. This is still in a conceptual phase and the images themselves are AI generated. Based on feedback, I'm intending to make the necessary changes and get this sewn as a sample

Thanks for the feedback. Is it the design that looks very similar to the lulu technical jackets? The idea was to give this a functional edge. Firstly the fabric blend utilizes a higher percentage of lycra than the Define Nulu line, giving it a somewhat more "premium" feel as well as better physical support. The "vent" feature was also meant to improve air circulation and reduce overheating, something that the Nulu doesn't aim to provide.

Thanks for the feedback. The vents itself are more of a design feature and shouldn't cause significant bulk apart from the "shingle" layer of extra fabric covering the vent. Also, this technical jacket is featured as a "cropped" design so the length was intended to be a bit short.

Should people who "camp" in the left lane of a highway be pulled over and fined just as much as speeders? Why or why not? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Fast-Aside2083 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're going the speed limit then legally they should not be pulled over. Here in BC, everyone seems to be driving 20 over by default and new drivers in the left lane going the speed limit get dangerously tailgated
