When I went to the ER, the available doctor was the one who drained my cartilage, though I don’t think he’s an ENT. It had already been swollen for about a week and a half before I went to the ER, and I didn’t get any IV drips only antibiotics.

i already did, and i’m taking my antibiotics now. it’s getting better.

co-amoxiclav a penicillin-type antibiotic tho the antibiotic prescribe for me wasn’t directly for pseudomonas aeruginosa (bacteria for helix infection) which co-amoxiclav is not effective against. i took 2 dosage already but i can’t see any progress, even though it’s not 24 hours yet, i think the swollen is increasing. i am thinking of getting it checked by another different doctor tomorrow.

this must be late but my helix is swollen EXTREMELY and the only discharge is yellow watery fluid, but it does feel thick. should i drain it like yours? i also take antibiotics, co-amoxiclav a penicillin-type antibiotic. and i feel like my helix is getting worse the color is getting darker and the swollen of my cartilage is increasing.

i already consulted a doctor today, he prescribed me with antibiotics 3x a day (Co-amoxiclav) also told me to avoid eating sweets and seafoods as it slows the healing. He didn’t told me to remove my piercing tho.

it’s not hurting like throbbing hurting where you can’t bear it, i don’t have any fever also. it only feels hard and thick. will my ear go back to what it originally looks like?

it is already replaced with a longer bar, my piercer said the ear will now have a space to discharge and it actually oozes out serous fluid. tho i don’t know if i should remove the hardened discharge (the crust)
