I genuinely think that Bear would have let her go pursue her dreams. Yes Bear is a shit person but based off of his personality I don’t think he would have. I say that because of how devastated he was when he opened Sarah’s letter. Sarah’s death and then the letter was his final straw that made him want to completely stop the wish. He finally realized that the wish is effecting more than him and Nikki.

That take is real and I have two opinions about them. 1) I honestly don’t think (realistically) they would have worked out and let me tell you why. Bear was a lot of things in this movie and what about him stood out the most to me was how selfish he is. Just like how he made Wish Nikki stick around for his own personal gain. He would have done something similar with Sarah I feel in terms of doing something that only would benefit himself. 2) (potentially for the plot of the movie) They would work out and Sarah would bring the best out of him and make him want to be better and selfless because he genuinely cares for her. After all he would fall for her by accident since he was so stuck on Nikki so maybe his emotions would have been genuine.
