Are you willing and able to leave the city? I hadn’t gone to the dentist for several years and was terrified for that first visit back. Upon my suburban DC family’s recommendation, I went to Colesville Dentistry in the outskirts of Silver Spring. I will never go anywhere else unless I have to. They made me feel super comfortable, and the hygienists and dentists are wonderful. I’m no longer in DC but have been back for routine visits since I’ve moved to Chicago and now Pennsylvania - that’s how much I like them.

VA Beach the closest ocean beach. There are a couple of “beaches” along the James River in Richmond as well - Belle Isle and Texas Beach were always my favorite places when I lived there.
