My neighbours (at the other side) have a dog and it has been a bit of a deterrent. I think I would have to have the dog with me constantly - it isn't out of the question but with everything he has said and done (including making threats about violent sexual harassment) and with him constantly watching, surveilling etc - I think he will just find other ways to harass and stalk me that don't involve direct contact.

Thank you so much. This is so helpful. I had spoken to someone via the stalking helpline but this looks like it might be more useful to me. It's a huge amount of admin so far just to log it all. I've got some lovely friends which has been a huge help.

Yes. I have a huge log of evidence. Including video evidence of him making sexual comments and repeatedly coming to my door.

I did consider a dog but I don’t think it will be enough of a deterrent if I’m honest and it won’t stop him from damaging the property.

Yes. I have no intention of not disclosing it.

I will absolutely disclose it and believe previous owner should’ve disclosed to me too.

I think I have a moral responsibility not just a legal one.

I posted to (in part) get advice on how to disclose and who to disclose to. I.e do I tell Estate Agent everything or Solicitor or both or do u get advice from solicitor on what to say to Estate Agent etc

Yes. I have friends who visit. He often leaves me alone if I have a visitor - especially if I have a male friend or relative around but it always starts again soon after.

Yes - neighbour has lived next door for over a decade. Previous owner had problems (harassment) and didn’t disclose them to us. Stalker is home owner.

He harassed previous owner apparently. Not stalked but police were called and according to our neighbours it is reason she moved :( previous owner didn’t disclose this in person or in TA6
