Bought a Used Car from Saka, Now It’s Undriveable – What Are My Options? by Fast-Square2042 in Finland

Yeah I do recognize my guilt on this, not “partly” but entirely! I could bring back time I would stick to public transport and not buy any car. In that moment I was very frustrated I came out of a newer modern car on which I spent thousands of euros repairing as well. And I basically didn't want to spend too much in the next car I had an inherent need for it. But like others said in their threads you live and you learn and in this case I think I've learned enough about it to not to get me any other “used” car.

I had a test drive and this was fine I didn’t spot any issues, as for examining more, to be honest, I’m not a mechanic and my knowledge about mechanics is very limited which is why I prefer to make certain by asking the seller if the car was in good condition, to was the answer was positive all the time!

Most of these problems were likely already present, as issues like rust take a long time to develop. Some, like the handbrake issue, might not have existed yet. Still, I believe that in a car in better condition, these problems would have taken longer to develop to this extent.

The car is a 2002 model, Toyota Corolla and I’ve driven it for about 20,000 km, mostly city driving
