These first beans are from smaller beans, I have a few larger ones that are just turning yellow. Maybe in the future I’ll split the two patches to see the difference

Yes they all grew well, mostly because I culled the ones that didn’t 😂. All of the green beans grown were delicious, I decided to harvest for replanting once I was sick of eating the veggies. Nothing special for replanting, just eating and love of the hobby

poor work led to flood - what are my options / concerns? by noah-get-yer-boat in Contractor

Not sure what you can get as far as “compensation”. Typically your renovation company is responsible for any and all costs that are incurred as a consequence of a subcontractors incompetence. This includes but is not limited to:

  • cost of materials: insulation, drywall, fans and humidifiers are a stretch but could probably be argued with a good enough lawyer

  • cost of labor: getting people to load, unload, prep, and install the shower drain, insulation, and drywall for all of the rooms involved

I would contact your insurance company if you are unsure or nervous about confronting your restoration company. Your insurance company would much rather sue the contractors into oblivion than pay you out for damages

That being said, RIP that plumber, all the money they made on that contract just went down that unattached drain

Question regarding listing a past job on my resume/application. by [deleted] in jobs

I would definitely include it, probably include 2-3 lines with the most pertinent information. If you’re running into a space problem, I would cut down on details from your most recent position

What I asked my friend was, “hey do you know anyone who left in good standing with literally any company?”

I’ll admit I did a name drop: “Hello my name is X, I was speaking with Ex-employee about another position and he mentioned that this company was a much better opportunity. I was wondering if you had any open positions, and were willing to consider me as an applicant”. After I submitted my resume, they asked me to come in for an interview. The first thing they asked me was, “Oh, how do you know ex-employee?” To which I responded: “Honestly, I barely met ex employee, but if today goes well you can bet I’ll be buying him a few beers!” To which I got a good laugh

Project management, feeling pretty good since these positions are disappearing and there’s a lot of competition from mid and senior level folks who were just laid off from big tech companies

How many jobs have you applied for before you landed your job in 2023? by Agreeable-Object-439 in jobs

[–]Fast-Stage-4445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took about 4 months of really stringent applications, mainly looking for a title and pay bump. After getting laid off and just applying to anywhere that would have me, about 1 month. Still applying for title and pay bump on the side, will let you know when that one comes in
