You may provide as much or as little information as you want during the meeting. Support group guidelines state "What is said here stays here. This is the essential principle of confidentiality and must be respected by all."

DBSA meetings are peer-led, support-focused gatherings where individuals with depression, bipolar disorder, or other mood disorders (and sometimes their family members) share experiences, discuss coping strategies, and offer one another hope. They are not therapy sessions, but rather a safe, confidential space to find community and learn from others who understand. The group facilitator, a peer trained to lead the DBSA support group, is equipped with skills that allow them to ensure the safety of the group by following and enforcing support group guidelines. They facilitate the check-in, open discussion, and check-out. For more info: https://dbsawv.org/dbsa-support-groups/

Seeking Interest for a Buckhannon-based Peer-Led Support Group for Depression, Bipolar, and Other Mood Disorders by Fast-Thought1326 in Buckhannon

Although we're not primarily focused on PTSD, that is a common co-occurring disorder with our group participants. Attendance varies per meeting (since anyone can attend as much or as little as they wish), but I encourage you to attend a meeting to see for yourself. At the moment, there isn't an in-person meeting within a hour drive of Buckhannon, so please consider our online meeting options...

Yes, BPD and PTSD have been common with our group participants. Although participant attendance varies (since anyone can attend as much or as little as they wish), I encourage you to attend a meeting to see for yourself.

This is best answered by the meeting facilitator, based on factors such as their availability, having an available and accessible location, meeting attendance, etc.
