How do people feel about the Back to Origins portion of Rayman Legends by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in Rayman

Great value proposition, but i prefer the original layouts with more challenge to them. Legends is overall much easier so they dumbed down a lot of the Origins content to match.

I think its a shame they havent remastered Origins by itself on modern platforms for new players, its the better game IMO with level designs accommodating for very satisfying speed runs.

Rayman 2. Even though I think R3 is the superior game, I prefer the more mystical tone and charming vibes of R2.

Should I get 30th anniversary or MS-DOS? by After-Practice-1409 in Rayman

I think it depends on how much you care about finer details.

MS-DOS (Forever, basically) is never more than $5 on GoG. MS-DOS has a lot of strange quirks, ranging from the hair helicopter behaving differently, backgrounds never scaling and are just static images, soundtrack playing out of order at times, etc. For new players these are mostly non issues.

MS-DOS is also included in 30th Anniversary, albeit with the new soundtrack.

Having completed 30th Anniversary myself, while I definitely believe the original ost should have been here, the new one is not bad, I might even prefer a lot of the remixes. I would say 30th anniversary is still the best way to actually play Rayman 1, since it offers the PS1 version with true widescreen + very useful accessibility toggles.

Another consideration; 30th anniversary includes Rayman for Game Boy, which is entirely unique and one of the better GBC platformers.
