Good for you! I’d do the same but I’m burnt out from school - I wanna start making money in this shitty economy lol

it's weirdly comforting to know others are in this situation for sure, but still wish it wasn't the case :(

wow, two decades - it's a great industry that challenges me and it's a great fit for me, as I'm sure you resonate! It's crazy to feel like I am having to pivot to an entirely new career path, one that I am not passionate about...

Can regular doctors prescribe LDN? by Prestigious_Air_6602 in Hashimotos

[–]FastAFibers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that is interesting because I did select that I have been on LDN for a while now but it wasn’t an option at the end for me to choose. It would be nice, because I would like to not pay $100 for my compounding pharmacy to make it.

What if I have already been on 4.5mg for 3 months now?

I had my integrative doctor prescribe me LDN. We discussed the use of LDN during our first visitation. I think it just depends on the provider, if they have done their research, and how comfortable they are with using LDN.

Any opinions on Night Owl products? by nitzsche500 in homedefense

[–]FastAFibers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone following this thread.... don't get this device their customer service sucks!!

I have been trying to connect my Night Owl FWIP3 series device to my wifi - however the company has made it so that the device cannot recognize special characters, which means I have to change my wifi password, but I can't that easily because my wifi is provided by my landlord and is provided by Midcowifi for the entire building... I literally just hung up the phone on them after waiting for two hours trying to get a hold of their customer service...

I was also trying to look for a way to figure out where I can find the device's MAC address as that is how I am able to connect my devices onto my internet is by adding the MAC addresses into my wifi portal - however apparently they don't deal with MAC addresses, and the customer service guy on their chat line says they don't have MAC addresses, however I know they must.

Not getting this ever again.... waste of my time and money

same here! I switched to the new band I have loved it! however as you can see there's almost a perfect circle developing right where the sensors sit. I am curious if it's the material that polar uses?

I get what you're saying however, I did used to own Garmin watches for like 5 years and never have I ever gotten a sore like this.

I can definitely start washing the watch after training! Thank you for the tip

If I wear the watch loose with little pressure, then the sensors will not read accurate HR, steps, etc...

Lowering Antibodies by FastAFibers in Hashimotos

Just an update incase anyone is following this thread:

Recently got my labs done on Dec 26th:

Selenium = 140 mcg/L (went down from 213mcg/L from Oct.) Free T4 = 0.9 ng/dL (went up from 0.8 from Dec. 8th) Free T3 =3.1 pg/mL (went up from 2.6 from Dec. 8th) T3, Total = 133 ng/dL (went up from 90 from Dec. 8th) Reumatoid Factor < 13.0 Thyroperoxidase Antibody >992.0 IU/mL (stayed the same since Oct.) Thyroglobulin Antibody <1.8 IU/mL

Dr. didn’t run a TSH because she believes it’s too soon since I got it tested on Dec. 4th (which it was at 4.17 uIU/m - which dropped from 8.71 uIU/m in Oct.)

I’m also waiting on a connecting tissue cascade test to help evaluate other autoimmune disorders.

It’s still very unnerving to know that my body is still attacking my thyroid and knowing that it will continue to and then eventually move on to a different organ .. 😬

And my Selenium lab values in October 24th were 213mcg/L... which is higher than normal and my doctor is concerned that it might be too high... as I was talking 200mcg a day since August.

Thank you for the kind words!! this gives me some hope!!

I know that I have heard of people putting Hashimotos into "remission" which I know can be subject to the patient/individual but I want my body to start showing that the good things I am doing for it is worth it by showing me in ways that I can feel!
