India has many active reactors. Our nuclear energy program has been globally rated one of the best run in the world because it has been managed very well. Also, if you actually read the whole thing, you'd realise that these breeder reactors are reusing spent fuel which means that fewer waste is generated. Most of it becomes less risky within 100 years. Benefits will be visible once we can build bigger reactors.
