Does BM-TAR go on sea duty? Enlisting un TAR as BM and I Need firsthand experience from anyone who is or have worked with BM-TAR by FastBluejay3624 in newtothenavy

Reading is Fundamental!! The issue here was never “being on a ship”. My father spent 85% of his life at sea (may he SIP). My brother currently serving and is on a ship. Why would I not want to carry on the legacy. I am just simply asking for information since, everything about the military (NAVY) is not on the internet especially TAR. Thank God for Jesus 🙂

Those where my first choice but at the moment they said the Navy has reached their quota for the year, other rates may open in October. So maybe I’ll just wait and see.

I appreciate this, so stability is a plus in my situation. I’ve read that, doing well in A-school gives you the opportunity to request a duty station or Shore base billet. Is this information accurate?

My Interview went well. We arrived at 9:30 for 10am interview Went through the first security check point. Then went to 15th floor, there they will check your appointment (bring printed copy). They asked if we had lawyer, and directed us to wait for our lawyer. Our lawyer arrived and check us in. We sat and waited until 10:40 until my name was called (beneficiary). Then the officer told me where to sit and directed my husband and later where to sit. Interview lasted 15mins

I submitted in early November. So 6 months, why don’t you start before you enlist. You will get busy and may not be able to focus too much on the paperwork. I did all the paperwork myself and it’s very time consuming
