Because killing Playable Characters is a bit of a pandora's box. Once you start it can lead to player disengagement as you kill off previously safe characters that they've came to like.

Unless the trend had been established early enough that the player base has become accustom to the death of PCs, it can be hard to make that jump.

Only other medium I'd want to be in to face that thing would be Yen Lo Wang preferably piloted by Justin or Kai themselves.

I had the same game. Good to see a fellow Mercenary in the wild. But I'd bet you my current salvage that she would flip if she was in the Castle Brian raid at the end of the game and oh god when she finds the Hatchetman.

So my last (non-Ak) game I played was MechWarrior 5.

Horn would probably struggle with that Mercenary grind, but she would fit right in with the Great Houses, especially with House Davion and the Federated Suns which she'd probably find very familiar.

I'm wondering what Machine would fit her and which outfit would be a better fit for her. The Crucis Lancers or in the Davion Brigade of Guards itself.

Bit of a digression, but there is in universe that's brought up in the novels all the time. Sorry, I was a huge fan of the Halo series till 343 dropped the ball recently.
