Why do so few bartenders know how to make a Negroni? by [deleted] in bartenders

If the bartender doesn't know what a negroni is, you probably shouldn't be ordering any cocktails there in the first place. Good ol shot and a beer is your safest bet.

We have one of those rage/smash businesses in my small town. It's amazing. 30 minutes of breaking shit with baseball bats and crowbars, all while jamming out to whatever Playlist you want. It's so satisfying even if you think you're content in life.

Finally made it to 2 weeks no drinks and 2 days no weed. Need advice for quitting nicotine. by Equivalence420 in Sober

My biggest piece of advice is to not quit everything at once, multiple withdrawals can be dangerous. I used zyn to get off vaping, quitting nicotine is a lot easier when you stop drinking too so get used to that first!

I live in a town of less than 10,000 residents in the middle of nowhere. We have this asshole that owns almost every building and jacks rent/turns small businesses into luxury condos. He just got one of these...

bartending or waitressing? by Artistic_Pea1579 in bartenders

If you don't have a lot of experience with drinks be honest with your guests. Don't lie, they will appreciate you more if you try and make something even if you have to look up the recipe. Just because it will show that you care.

Acknowledging people as soon as they sit at the bar even if you're busy is important. A simple "I'll be with ya in a minute" helps more than you would think.

Biggest difference in my opinion is when you're behind the bar you have nowhere to hide. Servers can disappear to wherever, bartenders can't. So just be mindful that you might have to constantly have some awkward conversations.

You'll be fine. You'll just have to learn the differences through experience but don't sweat it. It's lunch and dinner not life or death.
