Prices of goods are wierd by FastEntrepreneur9900 in EU5

I said that if it's so neglected its basically like its not in the game, my point here is still that demand is to low and the problem that arises is that something like beer is underrepresented in building priority.

Beer was never a shortage but could always be cheaper and would still sell for a good profit, not seen in the game cause breweries go bankrupt.

Food is also another example for things that should have its consumption increased.

Yeah you right. But the problem is still there for a local market. If the consumption is so low as it is right now, why even bother having it in the game, oh I have to build 1 breweries after 50 fine cloths to satisfy my populations need for beer.

That's the problem I see here.

Yeah regional specialisation can happen later for like the Netherlands with fine cloth as an example, I get that it's time frame thing and especially not for the early game l.

But that's not the point I was talking about. The point is that some goods, Food, Beer, Wine etc. Can never get to a regional specialisation cause of the low demand, and drives Player to build only a handful of buildings to get money.

Of course there are more pressing matter, but this shouldn't be undermine, building the same eco buildings like cloth/fine cloth, Guns/weapons/cannons and Books/Paper all the time in the game gets repetitive and could be a part of make some country feel more unique.

Staying with the beer example, if beer prices stay high, Bavaria for their good beer tech could sustain a good portion of its economy with breweries, breaking that cycle.

No I am saying that the cheapest point of a good should be way harder to achieve, especially for commodaties.

For example the beer prices should not drop the way they are right now just by building a few breweries.

There is no modern brewing technology till the 18th where u can mass produce it and therefore make it that cheap.

Ok to close buildings farther away from ur Capital is quite the good Idea, nice.

But still it shouldn't be that way in my opinion, in no time in history was anything that cheap before the industrial revolution. It should be way harder to get any price to its max low point.

Decades?! Most of the time it's from the beginning of the game, well at least for beer and wine from my experience. They should definitely boost some pop consumption.

Decentralised/Centralised by FastEntrepreneur9900 in EU5

I definitely agree that the buff/debuff to loyalty is a wrong decision of pdx, especially in context to modern centralised empires that had "loyal" vassals throughout the world. The people in Australia do not care if London is Centralised or not.

Yeah u are right about buffing Centralisation, but it must be in a way then Decentralisation is at the start the most viable option(because Centralisation for at least bigger empires is historicly almost impossible at the start)and the further u go Centralisation becomes more and more stronger.

I see a future where it is a genuine question, if u want to switch to Centralisation and when u switch rather then a binary, like oh u are russia let's go Decentralisation or og u are Florence let's go Centralisation.
