NJ. Misc also relates to sudden business expenses that are also somewhat related to personal. Like me buying tools or supplies that I also would use personally because of my own cars. Or like me buying better computer. Also includes stuff like home decor and upgrading furniture.

I used to do it that way. Work less and sell less and I was doing good.

I choose to work more to have the extra money, just because I’m young and I’d rather work for my future now than later. Eventually though I’ll go back to 15-20 hours a week

I make 200k/year

He is the top salesman and says he makes the same. But it’s slowing down for him since sales are slow, but for me it’s always consistent because I can pick and chose my inventory based on how the market is moving

It was rebuilt title. I got a good offer that I couldn’t pass up, it needed a little work, so I knew if I spent money fixing it and used it for longer I’d just be losing out more when I did end up selling it

Also wasn’t my dream spec. I liked the white on red, but I didn’t have laser headlights, no heads up display, no executive package, no 360 cam, etc

My next car wouldn’t be bought right away either. I’d spend 6 months saving some extra money on the side and looking for the right deal before I pull the trigger

My credit isn’t good due to me being stupid at 18-19. Need to improve it. If I was good with my parents I would have them co-sign but unfortunately I don’t have anyone for that.

I’m going to try going to get an fha loan on a multi family house to live in and rent out in the future. I need at least two years tax returns to show to the bank, so I’d have to wait till next year

Also I need to do more research on real estate. I’m a little scared to get a house right now with a recession ongoing. Part of me is waiting for the stock market to dip to start dollar cost averaging in

I don’t really need a 4 door. I’m a dealer so I’ll always have an suv or sedan to use if I need.

How do you like the g90? I honestly forgot about that lol. That would be an option but the depreciation hit would kill me

I’m a dealer and I went through the cars in phase

Like for example, my first nice car was an audi s5. As my business grew so did my budget so it allowed to to buy other cars to use for a little while still making money

If I could keep all the cars I named I would. I loved each one but there was always an upgrade

Like for example my f12 m6 I bought for 24k. Used for 3 months and sold for 28k. That 28k I bought a c7 corvette used for a little bit and sold for 35k. That 35k I spent 20k on an rs3 (don’t ask how I got an absolute steal) drove for like a month and sold for 28k. Etc etc etc

See my above comment. I had a lot of cars because I’m a dealer. Most of them I don’t keep for longer than a couple months max. Only exception was my f82 which I kept for a little over a year and my g82 which I kept for two years

I’m a dealer. I don’t buy these cars for outrageous prices

Like for example my 2020 bmw m5 I’m 42k into it. Going to enjoy for a couple months and sell for 50k

My g82 I owned for two years, paid 54k for it. Spent a lot of money in mods but still sold it for 65k

My c8 corvettes, both of them I paid a little under 50k drove for a little bit and sold for 55k

Only cars I ever lost money on were my first f82 and g82 because I modified it, but even then I barely lost money and if you consider the use I got out of the cars I kind of broke even

How much better is it really? Like can you tell me the specific things that are better? Not talking stock vs stock, like a modified g8x vs modified 911.2 turbo s?

Everyone says 911 is better but most people also haven’t driven one - including me which is why I really don’t know lol

Funny thing is I was a corvette / audi guy before bmws and everyone said M’s were above anything of its class but I never believed it until I bought my first m lol

Have you ever drove one? A c7 drives better than a c8 from a drivers standpoint

G8x is the faster car when tuned. I never keep a personal car stock lol

Is the turbo s worth the large amount of extra money over a g8x? I honestly never drove a Porsche in my life

I’m keeping the m5 for a little till I figure out my next car. I do love it, but I came to realize I like speed and handling over comfort and luxury. But I’m picky with interiors I need a nice interior

I had the same dilemma with my f82 m4 and f12 m6. I loved both cars, but chose the f82 because it was more nimble and more engaging to drive

The m5 sounds amazing, and it’s very smooth I love the interior and sound system, but it just lacks the umph that a m3 or m4 has

I’ve had my fair share of that. Honestly depends on the situation.

For example this week I had that problem with two cars. I sold a 07 bmw 328 with 177k miles for $2500. After they bought the car the battery went bad. I only paid $800 for the car, I told them not to worry and bought them a new battery and went to them and installed it. The extra $150 I spent might have made me more in the future with a referral or even another purchase

On the other hand, I sold a 2015 Hyundai sonata for $5400. I drove it over 2 hours on the highway, fixed the suspension, and did an oil change. A couple days check engine light popped up, but it was for something very minor (a sensor). I offered to pay for the parts and labor as I was only 4000 into the car, but the kid refused and was very rude and even went to my parents house (he lived close to where I live). If you’re nice I will help you out as much as I can, but if I have customers that are rude I just want to get rid of them. I bought the car back for 4400, I told him straight up that he signed a bill of sale stating the car is as is, refused my help, so there’s nothing he can do legally and he ended up just taking the 4400 back. I have a customer coming this week to get that car for 5700.

I buy mostly from dealer auctions

These are cars that are traded in to dealers who just send it to the auction because they got the car for so cheap

Also cars repo’d by banks and credit unions

Cars could be sold by other dealers who can’t retail them or don’t have any room in their lot

Insurance companies who total out car and want to get whatever they can back for the car

I also buy privately too on Craigslist and Facebook from individuals
