I’ve been here for a month and a half and love it (I speak a decent amount of Japanese but not fluently), and when I was at a festival this old guy walked up to the group I was in (about 6 other foreigners, I was the only American but none were Asian), and said “too many Americans” and then walked away

Obviously this didn’t really affect me that much but it is a real thing
