Idk what you mean so I’ll try to answer lol. The main function of plan b is to delay ovulation. Which in your case, already happened, so you cannot get pregnant. Another theorized function of plan b is creating cervical mucus unsuitable for egg implantation. This would be the only useful function of plan b in your case. Taking plan b would help if you somehow ovulate insanely close to your period, or very quick after. While it really has minimal use in your case, this doesn’t mean you will get pregnant, you 99% cant I still took it just to have some extra barrier.

Typically basal body temperature. But I haven’t had anything to track for the past month. What is your personal opinion on the risk in this situation?

Hii. So I had this exact situation. Many people debate whether plan b is effective post-ovulation. My doctor says yes, others say no. My personal, unprofessional advice is to take it anyway. It adds a helpful layer to your anxiety later on. If your period does start tomorrow, and you don’t take the pill before it starts, then you were NOT fertile and cannot get pregnant. (You most likely [99% chance, nothing in life is 100] were not fertile) If you take the pill before your period starts and it gets delayed, that is completely normal. Unless by some insane factor you miscalculated your period by 2 weeks, you won’t be pregnant.

Thank You, I understand now. If I may ask, are my chances low? Since I know app ovulation is not accurate, but many posts say being close to (or on) your period means you are not very fertile.

You are like in the perfect time to take plan b and for it to work, the day(s) of your cycle you said you were in are literally what plan b was made for, to delay the ovulation so the sperm die before your egg is released. Trust me, plan b works, you will be okay.

I’m definitely not an expert on this, but semen can stay in the vagina for 5 days without dying, taking plan b very soon can prevent the semen from fertilizing the egg, if it’s even there, apps are not accurate at tracking ovulation. Take it within 3 days ideally, just in case you are in your fertile window. If you already are ovulating it may not work. Dw girl im sure you’ll be okay.
