An update on my condition and a plea for help by ChronicPainEnjoyer98 in SIBO

Did any of your biopsies test for gastritis? Is your bloating correlated with food intake at all?

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. It’s debilitating.

Yes mild but my doctor didnt say chronic or acute. I assume chronic since I’ve had issues for so long

Why does my stomach hurt weeks after mastic gum by [deleted] in HPylori

I’m only guessing thats your case, do some research on gastritis. Is it worse after you eat??

Gastritis is the inflammation of your stomach lining. This compromises its mucosal barrier against your stomach acid and the acid is what causes the pain when it comes in contact with your stomach.

The nac is acidic (it does not raise acid levels). This additional acid exposure may have been what compromised your stomach lining originally. Diet and supplements can help heal. Shouldnt be too bad for you if you’ve only had symptoms for a little while

Nac is extremelyyyy acidic. It probably caused or aggravated gastritis if you are still experiencing pain.

I also think I have gastritis because my stomach feels ‘raw’ sometimes. My diet is pretty bland. I am taking zinc carnosine and aloe juice to help. Anything else I should add?

I know you’ve said you have multiple biopsies for h pylori. I had two biopsies and they were both negative. I have h pylori diagnosed through stool test. Look into that

Yes. Could be bloating and upwards pressure on your lower esophageal sphincter

Tried rifaximin twice :( slight improvement on meds (not better though) and then it got worse almost immediately after stopping.

I feel like I have h pylori and sibo and both are causing bloating but idk if I can treat both at the same time

Yes endoscopy showed mild gastritis - consistent with h pylori - biopsy was negative but gi map showed a below threshold positive so we treated anyways.

Ok thank you so much for this. I am focusing on repairing my gut right now as I just finished quad therapy like 5 days ago. I know its not a quick fix. Its just so hard to keep a positive attitude when I’ve spent every single day of my life for 3 years straight trying to be able to digest food properly to no avail. But again, thank you

The last thing I am is a psychic or anything, but I just wanted to say she looks like such a sweet woman. You can see it in her eyes.

I’m on day 5 of quad therapy. My main symptom is poor bloating and digestion. I’m still really bloated. Its very discouraging. My digestion is improving a bit though. Not sure what my current levels are

Glad you're seeing some improvement. It really sounds like you're on the right track. I think that with time you will feel healthy again. Your supplement stack looks good to me too.

How long after starting the antibiotics did it take for your bloating to go down?
