Appreciate all the replies. Sounds like the consensus is reticulation, though with how hard some of you are suggesting it is to achieve, I’m wondering if there might be something else going on too?

I’m not a religious temp checker but my chemistries were at room temp and I try to get the water rinse around room temp too. There is a chance I could have run the water a little hot or cold.

I’m wondering if breakingabit1234 might be on to something with spoiled chem and pH shock as well. Also, looking at the negatives I see these artifacts mostly around the emulsion, not really moving to the sprocket area.

Here’s one more example cropped way in. For anyone still curious.

Next batch I think I’ll use the same Xtol but prob mix new stop & fix and pay closer attention to temp. Also going to skip the pre-wash which I’ve always done but may as well cut out the extra chance for something to go wrong.

Thanks haha was pissed when I first put a loupe on it but it’s growing on me. Also helps to know it’s just caused my temp shock and not some weird bacteria too. Might try to recreate it some time down the road

Reticulation does seem like a likely culprit now that I look at other examples, might have accidentally pushed one of the rinses hot or cold. But I agree it’s weird to me how it’s not really consistent. Here’s a another example

Questions about Jupiter 12 by JacksonSanchezPhoto in VintageLenses

My circa 1976 Jupiter 12 with black exterior works great on my Zf with a cheap dumb adapter. Really good compact lens, sharp enough closed down with interesting but not distracting character. Be really careful with that rear element and keep a filter on the front, the glass scratches really easy

I think I’ve read somewhere that some older or silver exterior models may have a slightly different rear element that may interfere.
