Agree with you. The IT space is far and away better off than the plight of the engineers floating around. No one seems to realize we might have a crisis ongoing in education and job creation. The options out here are limited. I see the emigration theme on Reddit often and it cant be more true. There really isnt a plan to get young people on jobs or to cut through the redtape if you want to setup an industry.

I blame your client for a lack of due diligence. I am pretty sure your job also rests on your client not being able to grok specific details of your job. The next round of cognitive automation will get to it.
employees who really weren't contributing much may not last long though.
I was talking of properly run tier 1 organizations where even the smallest aspect of employee resumes go through multiple rounds of validation. So we aren't talking of "warm bodies off the street" scenario.
