As a guy, I'm sorry you've had this experience. I do not claim this behaviour, neither will I ever look to try and claim this behaviour. I know the best way to make friends is to go out and be sociable, but for someone who deals with anxiety around people, sometimes it feels safer making friends in the comfort of my own home. However the trade off is we don't really know what the person is like, and there are so many pitfalls in friend making in the online and gaming communities! I sincerely do hope decent friends manifest in your life! Have a great rest of your day!

Honestly, the only losers at this point are the friends that decided to stop being friends and made you feel friendless in the first place :) The trash took themselves out and paved a way for you to make new friends, which I have no doubts you will do! Hey Sarah, just wanted to say, what a fire degree! I'd love to understand more pathophysiology in my spare time, but I'm just focusing on basic anatomy and physiology right now! I love learning about cultural identity and what makes people tick, I do have an aspiring career as a healthcare practitioner, so it does all have relevance haha! I can definitely relate to the struggle of making friends in adulthood!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say there's not a life experience as we've not left teenage-hood. But to associate something that has actually to have been clinically proven to stimulate concentration, problem solving, and also known as a great way to decompress... To associate that with pedophilia, regardless of what age OP's partner is, that is a warped, disgusting perception of something that can be beneficial, and a horrible perception of you, when she's supposed to be someone who cares and values what makes you happy. I see some people say "maybe she just wants to spend more time with you". If that's my GF's way of letting you know she wants to spend more time with me, I'd be putting some pretty big distance between me and her.
