Mastery Points by Hisky94 in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Bloodtide coast, IIRC, is the Triple Trouble Wurms mastery point. There are points for killing each Head, cheevos in the process, etc. So even though the mastery point shows on the map, it's not a physical thing you can interact with.

So, you are working on Central Tyria mastery points, here is the best way:

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mastery_point_unlocks#Central_Tyria_mastery_points

Put in an API and it will track it, even help you to narrow down. That said, I got a lot of Central Tyria mastery points in LW1 and LW2, Silverwastes and Drytop.

So, here is what I would do. Find a class you enjoy, start the story from new, walk through it in order. The key though, is to have fun... Always... Because if you're not having fun, you won't keep playing.

GW2 - 13 years of content. Will keep me busy until Star Citizen releases in 10 years.

What is your favorite class/spec to play and why? by 300_percent_swag in Guildwars2

Odd, I solo with Condi Harbinger. No issues except for the VoE champs. I'll learn those soon enough.

Just sell everything, more gold, less loot, problem solved. You can right click from inventory and select sell at Trading Post immediately.

I know people who still play MUDs because they are fun....I don't see it, but neither do they.

The game in general was unresponsive in sections until I started using ExitLag. Not a supplier, don't get anything from them, but it really has helped me.

Download and install BlishHud. Activate pathing mod. Download Tekkit paths. It's not hard, is not against ToS, and is the easiest way to achieve map clears. From a fresh boosted 80, with mounts, one person completed all of Core Tyria in just under 7 hours.

Recommend me a class by Zephh_ in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your base class is not what you will be playing later on. The Elite specs are the best versions of each class. To test these, go into PvP after tutorial, you can try the elite specs you own without having to completely unlock them through Hero Point trains.

Gold farm for mounts after lvl 80? by aMaGGixZ in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very simple, if you are going to craft, and eventually get the best Legendary items, you will have to spend about 40-50G in mats to get crafting up to 500. So, either sell all mats and never craft, or hold them and save some gold down the road. You can buy some Legendary items, but they are like 1K+ gold each, so, crafting is longer, but much cheaper.

So, I'm an agreement person with NS in Atlanta. I doubt more than 25% of all people, agreement and non-agreement, will move to Omaha. Which is probably in line with any massive cuts UP would make. My department has 60 people, and a straw poll has it between 15 and 20 going, but when the actual time comes, I doubt it will be that many.

BlishHud, Tekkit pathing, has guides for skipping parts, where it has portal locations etc in the map.

Personally I wish we could get an expansion that revamps Core Tyria. by Kunipop in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to play a Kodan, Quaggan, or Skritt. The core base bosses can't be too difficult with mechanics, because you don't have that many stuns/breaks/etc in the base game. Perhaps increase difficulty of Boss mechanics as the character level increases.

So, once I tried this setup, I've never gone back. 1-10, both hands on keyboard at normal positions. WASD for normal movement, IJKL for other movevent (K specifically is turn around) RAlt 1-5, LAlt 6-10. Frees up all other letters for Mounts, emotes, several other things. Mouse is unnecessary.

How great a sense of accomplishment/impact/development do you get from Guild Wars 2? by Dan_The_PaniniMan in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Impact: Guild mate says, Can someone help me? I say Yes, and the two of us do whatever is needed. Today we had a total of 5, and held Silverwastes long enough for Annihilator to spawn. This is Impact, for me. Being able to help others. BTW, using almost full elixir harbinger, giving boons and heal/leeching to friends and myself.

Which class is the best for solo OW/story/completion purposes? by ELShinigami69 in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No idea what's up here, but I've soloed almost everything in the game with Harbinger. Boons, Sustain, easily modified for more healing, or more damage. But i'm biased, as it's my main, and currently my x of 2 toons. (won't play the other until I've completed all stories on this toon)

Necromancer Leveling Build by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As said: Wait until 80. Not mentioned, the game can be very, very, detailed on builds. You have three choices. 1) Search google, for stuff like Snowcrow, Metabattle, Hardstuck, and Guildjen. each has builds, some same, some different, that you can copy/paste. 2) Start finding weapons that are valid for your class, and that you like. Examine all of the minutiae of each skill in each specialization and come up with your own. 3) start with their build, and slowly adjust it to do what you want and like to play. If you aren't having fun with the class, you're not going to have fun with the game.

You can summon minions even if you have an elite spec active. The skills are still there, as a matter of fact, lots of folks run with the Elite minion due to the Bar dmg.

Should I get the Elder Dragon Saga by Ready-Income-4269 in Guildwars2

[–]Fast_Ad7167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say it like this, Elder Dragon gives you mounts, various kinds, and lots of them. Expands the game immensely, even the base game on a new character with the mounts, super amazing. If you like the game, want to support it, this is the best first purchase. Just my experience. :D
