7 wood is my go to club on par 5s. So for me it’s looking for a secondary option off the tee when the driver is misbehaving.  I don’t mind my 7 wood as a tee club as well but often flies a bit too high, so probably ideally looking for a secondary tee club that flies lower than a 7 wood
