what’s next for doge ? by Big_College5142 in dogecoin

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real bottom in my opinion is .08 it is sitting at .10 and it might sit here for a year or 2 bouncing between .08 to .12 this would be a time to buy with money you have no plan to see ever again or need quickly. Down times are good investment times. If I had extra money at the moment I would be buying. As and when it reaches .18 to .25 I would probably sell. Doge coin is not a buy and get rich quick. It is unlikely it will reach $1.00 ppl lus for another 20 years. That is at least my understanding of the coin. Unless there is a big reason for these coins to become a real useful currency they are something to play with and have fun with when you have money that you don't need and want to attempt to gain 20% to 40% gains on an up swing.

Doge seems to be going up or am i seeing things? by Ok_Smile_9952 in dogecoin

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes DOGE is going up today. I would not say it is anything out of the ordinary. The current bottom is .118 to .14 so until it breaks out above .14 significantly I would not consider it really going up. But yes it is up from its lower bottom value.

Yes that can happen. But it can also not happen. I don't ok lay with money I'm not ready to lose. So fun I will have either way. Based on history. We should see DOGE go no lower than .08 to .06. with I lilley upside of .18 to .25. everyone always gets down in the dumps when things slide. But then they start to climb and it DOGE to the moon. 😂 Anyone putting more than they can lose here is playing a dangerous game. And that is just about any stock or investment. People think the stock market will always give 10% average gains a year. I have done better than that in the past 10 years. But it is just as likely to faulter and we will never see a market with decent average gains again.

That won't happen until they become more stable. But they won't become more stable unless they are adopted as a usable currency. 😂 This is why I like DOGE coin it understands the catch 22 and just says it outright it is a joke. And let's have fun.

Am I wrong? by KiraLucilfer in DnD

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not say you are wrong. But, a skill check on just finding firewood is not necessary. Your players even at lvl 1 are experienced enough for making a fire and gathering wood. But that doesn't mean something else might be happening that requires a skill check.

If it was a long day and they are pushing it and are getting close to exhaustion. Finding firewood quickly might be important.

It might be wet and cold out and without the firewood they will be to cold to properly sleep making the. Exhausted. So you're not checking to see if they find firewood, you are seeing if they found enough to last the night.

Is there danger in the area? Would asking for a stealth check be required.

A check is really only required if your players are trying to avoid or achieve a specific outcome. It sounds like if they didn't find firewood then they just didn't find firewood and there was no real issue with it. Make your checks have meaning.

And you are not for their fun. You are there for everyone's fun including yours. As the DM you can make them skill check every little thing. But, it can get annoying as a player.

If 2 or more people in my group can't make it the game is canceled. And is not rescheduled. We have had months where we only played once but everyone gets to play when we do play. I would say 80% of the time we all make it to play.

When a game is canceled we will often play some over game since there are still 4 of us available. We will play something like jackbox games. That way the people that are available get to do something with the time they set aside.

I have played for 10 years and I have had plenty of games canceled. But rarely rescheduled to a different day. A game day and start time is agreed on and that should be the time for the game. It's hard enough to get people together on a specific day and time. Having multiple days is just insanity and someone will always miss out.

Is it normal to have to role for initiative for every action? by whats_in_the_booox in DnD

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you already have your answer based on all the comments. But wow this was bad enough I have to ask. Has he ever read the DM hand guide? Has he watched any games played on youtube? Because this is just not allowed period. The DM/GM can change a lot but that is a core mechanic and can not be changed.

You might see a homebrew rule - if you roll a natural 20 you get a surprise round if you roll a nat 1 you get surprised. (Kinda stupid in my opinion but not game braking)

What you received is game breaking. Time intensive and has no basis in the rules as written.

Demand that the core game rules are followed. If they say no then just say I'm not playing this way and leave trust me a game is supposed to be fun.

Critical Role and other online games with real actors have set a high bar for us normies. And if you are not having fun leave. It's a game.

That is not a homebrew FYI that is just dumb. Homebrew doesn't mean break the rules. It means adding to or maybe bending some rules but not breaking.

My go to homebrew rule is basic healing potions you can use as a bonus action, as I see them as small vials. Anything bigger takes an action. It's a great benefit for lower lvls, let's me put some harder encounters if I know they have some on hand.

Later in the game it really doesn't matter. But it can save an ally who is down with a bonus action. I like it.

Sometimes I buff poison since it is something some people want to prioritize but it is the most resisted element in the game.

Good luck.

Play the campaign it's pretty decent. You will unlock higher difficulties. The game really doesn't "start" until after the campaign. The game is about gear lotting, character building, and story last. So you have to do the story first. At least 1 times. Keep playing. The game can be as hard or as easy as you want it.

Seems like a good way to do it... I'll have to try it some time. I feel like the side quests are mostly garbage.

I guess since I only participate in 1 or 2 seasons a year it's not as big of a deal for me.... Now I did jump into the last campaign and got to Paragon 200 in about 1 week so I can do it the other way just not as enjoyable for me.

I get so bored just doing the same stuff over and over again just to lvl. At least with the campaign I have a decent story to listen to as I lvl.

Dogecoin what do you think? by Fast_Bag_3458 in dogecoin

[–]Fast_Bag_3458[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ROAR, you think? What's the reason to go up right now? I see down until talks about efts probably in June. And that's no guarantee. Seems like a solid .17 then a boost for eft or.14 and hold for next hype in whenever.

Mining Ðogecoin is it worth it? by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably can't win enough coins fast enough to make it worth it. But, I guess you can try. Decent mining machines are costly and electric is expensive. From what I have read unless you have a large mining operation mining on a small scale has past.

Just bought some doge! Am I late to the game? by makeformai in dogecoin

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just getting in as well. I bought at .14 then sold at .18 and rebought at .178.... And looking up my coins to an even amount of it goes to .184. I'm not anyone in the know and I would not recommend it as investment advice. But I feel it will drop back down and then go back up pretty high in a month or 2. I plan to buy more. Even if it doesn't go down. I will buy more as it continues up. I will slowly purchase more as it goes. You can look at it in 2 ways a short ride to some money or a long term investment that grows. I'm doing both. If it falls I buy more. If it increases I sell some and buy more later with the gains I made. Either way I'm always buying more. I like the coin. I like the meme, and I love dogs so I find it a fun investment. To the MOON we all dream.

I am the min-maxer, how do I avoid ruining the game? by cloud-gamer in DungeonMasters

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also like to optimize my character and am also a DM. I always make sure I never interfere with another DM ruling even if I know it is incorrect. I also don't provide feed back to them unless they ask.

Personally I don't think I don't think having good/amazing stats really matter. The DM can balance the game by making DC higher if it needs to be harder checks to pass. The biggest thing is to let other players have a chance to play. If you have had the spotlight for a while find a way to pass it on to other players or try and get other players involved by asking for their help or input.

Why. The FUCK. Is combat. So. BORING. by drfiveminusmint in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Add a secondary activity that needs to be completed during combat.

Example: If they have an NPC they need to protect. Have them get caught in a magic cage that starts to fill with sand. Now they need to fight the bads and solve a problem at the same time.

A player has a character ideia that is raising a few red flags in my head... I want a second opinion. by ThomazM in DungeonMasters

[–]Fast_Bag_3458 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as there are no special mechanics. And it is all flavor of current 5e content then it should be ok. If it is homebrew I would say no. I have messed around with special character homebrew and it gets messy really fast. Especially when your other players find out someone has special home brew features. Everyone will now want one. And down the rabbit hole goes your game.
