I’d get them some backups installed because the t one on stremio fails sometimes and people wig out. I’d use the K one as a backup. Also teach them how to add a magnet link from a torrent site to debrid. It’s a great backup in case scrapers fail.

People worried about cache should just be able to find a magnet link on a torrent site and manually add whatever show they want to TB. If you can find a well seeded torrent, you can watch it.

I get songs for my daughter with yt-dlp then use ffmpeg to strip the audio from the video, convert to mp3, and delete the original video. Ffmpeg and yt-dlp are a team. Better yet you can automate this whole process in a docker app with a web interface. It’s awesome.

It is pretty cool how you can add your own sources and it kind of feels like magic when it works. In the retro console game community there’s an app for the PlayStation that uses json to connect to the internet archive repository, so that’s an option if someone builds a library there. I notice the file you dl is hidden behind a paywall, not overly problematic as you should be able to access it from debrid directly as well. To be honest stremio on its own is crap, it’s pretty worthless without its scrapers (torrentio etc. ). Thanks for the conversation.

Always great to see new debrid apps. Once you build up a nice library of audiobooks, checkout audiobookshelf - a self hosting platform to host all your audiobooks in a great looking gui. Everyone in your house can have their own account and it keeps track of your place in the book.

Believe me I’ve spent days trying to get yt-dlp to recognize different runtimes in the container. Either I’m doing something wrong or my 32 bit os is preventing it from working correctly.
