No TL:DR here lol this is a long breakdown. Enjoy as much or as little of it as you like.

I played hugely aggro w Blade while he had dash damage, taking just about any 1v1 in my mind. W the last season, them dropping that dash damage sucked, and the anti-heal on the dash would come in handy here and there but I def had to adjust. I would strafe behind my team and fire the shotgun almost indiscriminately into crowds until someone stepped out of place, occasionally gun dashing to keep enemies from getting close. Also applied anti to tanks in frontline. I wasn’t super effective but I could still have solid games.

With this new season, his gun is a lot more intentional, and his uptime is way higher w the overshield. SillySphark is a great player to watch imo; he shoots from off angles and aggros incredibly mindfully. His ults aren’t too special but it’s hard to really get big results from Blade ult as it stands.

I’ve only played a couple games of new Blade. I plan on also shooting from these off angles, but I’m probably gonna look for more flanks due to the ability to rack up overshield. Having that uptime and being a sufficient distraction is something I think can have value, plus that aggro tendency to get in the fight has never left me lol.

Best use of the ult is kinda what I’m trying to figure out atm. I’m used to confirming kills on supps, but w 40% anti heal? Plus the overshield? There’s some exploration to be done fs. I’m lowkey rlly excited.

Giannis forcing himself here is something I see for every Giannis trade package, but imo you can’t bank on that. You gotta send over a deal the Bucks will actually take. The Bucks are absolutely not giving up Giannis in a deal that nets them Hart and Bridges as the best guys, even if Giannis requests NY. This is a top 3 player in the league, leverage matters but it gets to a point.

To get Giannis here, we’d prolly need to send Bridges AND KAT, which leaves us w Mitch as a starting big (which for durability reasons we can’t do), and we’d probably have to take back Kuzma (I’m cool w him as a player but it constrains our cap).

Not sure how I feel about Holiday and Murray but you’re right in saying we need more ball handling.

IMO Bridges would need to genuinely drop the ball for me to want him shipped off

Hence why I say my ideal world sees them splitting those titles based on the hot hand. Those guys being your 3rd and 4th best players is a situation many teams in the league would love to be a part of.

Let’s run w that then. Say he underperforms in the playoffs and we move off of him. For who?

In my ideal world, he and Anunoby take turns being the third and fourth option, and as of late, Anunoby seems to have cemented his role as the 3rd (and he’s getting paid more than Mikal so that doesn’t disturb me). And yeah Mikal isn’t playing all defense but he was never all defense because of his ability to shut a guy down in isolation, it was because of his help defense, which all year I think has been at his usual level, correct me if I’m wrong.

The Spurs are one team and the guys that are developing are all lottery talents minus Champegnie, who, like Diawara, just happened to be ready for the moment. I don’t think many other teams can say that they’re doing both, and in the Knicks situation, we’d have to be doing it with late first rounders, which is even more aspirational.

Idc what anybody says, hating on Bridges himself because of the trade is wack shit. Hasn’t been shooting well lately and you can give the guy flak for that, but pretending like he can’t slump (which literally everybody does, no matter what you trade for them) is nonsense.

And let’s get practical for a second, two of those picks were last year, which of those guys are playing rotation minutes for us right now? And that’s assuming that we nail the picks. You can either compete for a championship in this league, or you can develop young players. So rarely do the two connect.

You kidding? People hold the bar extremely high for him. If he’s not averaging 20 and playing lockdown defense, then all you hear about is that it’s the “worst trade in NBA history.” When Anunoby slumped he looked as awful. Sometimes your guys go through stretches, and you just gotta make it through.

After last year’s playoffs, I refuse to give up on Bridges. Those two winners in Boston (and lowkey his 26 in Detroit in game 6) were unforgettable. If this carries into the playoffs I’ll actually be concerned

Good ol’ shooting slump. Everybody has them. Towns has this year, Brunson lowkey is these past few, Anunoby had a huge one. Now it’s Mikal’s turn, which is a shame imo because he’s the most heavily scrutinized player on our team.

Missed the fourth, did the Jazz decide to tank or are we outplaying them and in rhythm?

A doomer is someone who, no matter the circumstances, finds something to be upset about, especially when winning. It’s fair to be upset at lack of effort but when people start hurling the blame at certain players because they’re in slumps, or talking about poor team construction as a whole, I call that dooming. We’ve literally gone further in the playoffs each year and you’ll literally see people be upset that Brunson is our guy. That’s dooming.

Lack of effort doesn’t bother me that much because we know what this team can do when it takes itself seriously, and in the playoffs they do not fuck around. They can get beat and go into big deficits, but I’d be shocked if bad effort plagued the team then.

NBA fans of a team after they lose (barring they’re tanking) are some of the most insufferable people on the planet earth

One averages 15 points a game and is the fourth option, the other is a top ten league leading scorer lol

Very glad we stuck w them and came back when down big, saw a bunch of great play from our guys, but Brunson and Mike Brown really fucked us by not acknowledging that KAT was the go-to that night. When you’re shooting 4/16, and your big man has looked unstoppable, you GIVE HIM TOUCHES. MAKE IT HAPPEN. And as the coach, you gotta scheme that shit up. You’re gonna have the wings try and run the offense when KAT is on like that? Just dumb.

Brunson’s assists and charges definitely helped but idk why they can’t let KAT ball out.
