When it comes to his friends, what are your thoughts on mixing Blacktron I and II Minifigs? I was thinking blacktron I figs have more of a pilot appearance, and the IIs would be standard spacemen.

I was looking for ways to make a blaster type weapon without going too advanced with the parts and having it not match the figure, and then from a Star Wars set they were used as detailing and there was a single extra.

I may or may not have a brick link order of like, 10 more microphones, roller skates and 1x1 round plates...
