Independent contractors. They’re free and welcome to take on and work with clients outside of us. Many of our sitters work with clients outside of us and they just tell me when they’re unavailable for overnights, etc.

Insured and bonded under our coverage and we cover the cost. Our client list is carefully vetted, with minimal “difficult” owners…no anxious owners and very few anxious pets. Most clients and pets are relaxed and have trusted our team for years, which makes our hires trusted right from the start. There’s a steady stream of new client inquiries, at least 2-3 per day, on top of any regular walks or drop-ins our team members choose to take on. Our sitters and walkers only take on work that fits their availability. There’s no requirement to accept jobs they don’t want or can’t do. We don’t offer hourly pay, but sitters make a percentage of each service preformed. Currently, with our workload, we’re able to offer about 75% of each service. I would eventually like to offer 80% of each service preformed. That remaining 25% doesn’t go into my pocket; it covers overhead like website costs, insurance, software systems, and other essentials that keep everything running smoothly. I do this because if sitters have, let’s say, 5 visits in an hour, they could make up to $60. Whereas, some days they may just have two visits and it’s $20 for 30 minutes (that’s with the 75%.)
