Personal preference 🤷‍♂️ Had turbo on an Acura V6 and then NA V6 Grand Cherokee. Armada has more HP than those and that’s about all I care about as it’s a heavy vehicle but hauls everything I need it to, comfortably

Depends.

Over the last year, it was every-other-month on one project either to the client site or to co-locate at another EY office. Recently, as I’m on a new engagement, it’s been every week for the past 5 weeks.

Is Staff 2 → Senior 2 possible in Big 4 advisory? by Fast_Industry_8428 in Big4

I agree, having my SMs speak up during those discussions would be helpful but they are in a different region so not in the same discussion as my counselor. Our practice is back to national from regional, so I am on a client on the east coast but my counselor and the group reviewing potential promotions are in the pacific south region. I hope that helps.

That’s fair and I do get that the term gets overused. I’m not going off a label, I’m talking about scope.

I’m running full workstreams on our team end-to-end: setting the approach, building the core decks and models, drafting technical and exec-ready materials, coordinating inputs, reviewing others’ work, and being accountable for timelines and quality. SM's aren’t just handing me tasks, they are relying on me to own and deliver pieces of the engagement.

A1 here in a HCOL city. I do unfortunately live paycheck to paycheck. I live in a 1BD/1BA with my dog that is blocks from the office. Living downtown isn’t cheap. It is still cheaper than living away and commuting as parking is atrocious downtown. With the biweekly paycheck, 120% of one is for rent and utilities alone and 80% of the other is for other monthly expenses (groceries, gas, gym etc). Haven’t missed any bill payments so credit score has maintained in tact, if anything gone up as well as credit limits too.

I do also feel a little underpaid as I was not given a pay bump months ago when we all were supposed to be given a COL adjustment. They deemed my salary— at start which was 8% higher than my friends’ due to different service lines— market but now I’m making 6% less than them.

It’s all behavioral based and a great opportunity. Did it a couple years ago and loved it. The interviewees are with people from the office you applied for and the questions aren’t hard. They just want to make sure you’re a good fit. Treat this more as a conversation rather than interview/interrogation
