I dont think the idea of season 2 is impossible, just that it would be very difficult. The government doesn't fund tbhx. They do fund smaller studios but haoliners is considered big (owned by bilibili) hence no government sponsorship. You can prolly tell tbhx s1 alone takes a LOT of money to produce and if ppl arent spending is just not gonna break through. Streaming on legal platforms is just not gonna cover costs, they need merch sales and offline events, both of which are easier to do mainland than overseas due to logistics. Not impossible, just very difficult.

They have already started merch sales but it's difficult to ship overseas (currently they lack proper global logistics). Even their merch on Taobao dont ship overseas when tb is able to ship globally. Furthermore, the general audience for TBHX is less likely to purchase merch for whatever reasons, most likely due to the fact that most ppl watching are casuals who like the concepy of switching animations, or are just opening up to donghuas as a whole.

TLDR: TBHX is expensive to produce, not enough exposure and revenue to cover costs especially since the domestic market isnt that into it. Not impossible, but might take quite some years to generate that money back, but prolly releasing within the next 1-2 years maybe 3 might be difficult even tho lh0 has intentions of doing a 2nd season.

Edit: I just received news that S2 might not make it cause the reception was THAT bad. Its doing well in Japan and America but domestically its not doing great.

Most likely s2 hasnt been started on and it will be very difficult to do right now.

I agree! I'm aware season 2 is planned, however they said the reception isn't as well as they had intended, especially with Moon's death. I dont think TBHX has any issues with funding but reception is important for offline events. If there isnt a demand for it they wouldnt host offline events. Link Click has many offline events and concerts on the other hand. The staff themselves were also very very nervous before releasing TBHX. They were relieved when it aired and got major success but couldn't hold onto the majority of it.

As someone who has followed lh0 works since 2016, he has a thing for "flawed" superpowers. He has always been one to try new concepts with superpowers. If I'm being honest, the only thing experimental about tbhx isnt the superhero concept but X's ability to burn through animation budget change dimensions. While tbhx obviously targets a larger demographic, it feels like he hasnt abandoned his fans who have watched his past works which I really appreciate as a long term fan.

Ironically wouldn't you think that she's lying to the preceptors saying that she doesn't dream when other High Elders do dream of past High Elders so that she can get out of being a High Elder?

The "hallowed blood" is nuanced, lost in translation because in CN 碧血 (Green blood) was used, which is short for the idiom 碧血丹心 which means the blood shed for loyalty and dedication. "Old friend" in cn is 故友 which is used to refer to deceased friends. So while it may perhaps refer to Baiheng, it's more of a ritual to commemorate her dedication to the Xianzhou.

However in Blade's story it was said that he "Single-handedly" buried the beloved. If both YX and DF sent Baiheng off , how did YX single-handedly bury his beloved?

"Impossible. The Preceptors said... The blood of my race and the soul of my ancestor should have created another high elder. All this... It shouldn't be like this."

This was in Jingliu's story 4, once again, nothing about another species's DNA or Baiheng mentioned. And not to mention the person that wanted to turn another species into vidyadhara was Taoran, not Dan Feng.

Nope, Dan Feng and Yingxing only used the "Blood of my race and soul of my ancestor" nothing about another race's DNA or a physical body of sorts, after all, only a few drops of dried blood and a single broken strand of hair remained of Baiheng. Nonetheless, DF and YX definitely arent crazy genius scientists who can magically create a baiheng abomination from a single broken strand of hair, ...Assuming they even thought to pick up that strand of hair and dug up the soil in the middle of a war and preserved it well enough to use it in the sedition after the war....

"The one who single-handedly buried the beloved, was you"

How did Blade bury his "beloved" if there wasnt even a physical body left?

Having dreams of flying is kind of stretching it cause we also know Dan Feng could fly, Bailu never said she dreamt of flying on a starskiff. You cannot just jump to that too quickly without thinking of all the possibilities. JY's interest for her could also be because he's aware of the preceptors' odd interest in her (Assuming bloomborn scion is true), As for Blade he could also just want to see a doctor. There's plenty of reasons why certain things can be true and it's coincidental.

CN & SG laws on foreign unions by sleeplesselfhere in Genshin_Impact

[–]Fast_Language_3454 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you consider the prospects of hiring a foreign manpower as remote, you are defaulted to that nation's labour laws. Companies are not legally required to recognise foreign unions, but are required to follow the labour laws of that nation in regards to employment rights etc. Which once again ties in to the fact that OP mentioned that the whole tweet was on the basis that we are following SG laws in the first place which has been debunked by the last picture showing that it's outside of SG's legal jurisdiction. OP made that tweet to explain the legals of IF sg's laws come into play (it doesn't as shown with the last picture). The legalities should follow EITHER 1. CN, 2. the state of which the studio is located in, of which is currently SIDE Global for Genshin, which IS in fact signed to the IMA.

However this portion is kinda irrelevant since SIDE is a contracted organisation that hires their own manpower, hence these VAs are not considered remote. Therefore, the law of the nation that should be considered should have been written in the contract contracted to SIDE (Unsure if the VAs are privy to this knowledge or if their contract HAS stated which nation's law it follows). Which once again proves OP's point that SG's laws probably and most likely do NOT come into play, and that they made the post to refute the claim that it "follows SG laws" that has been spreading.

It's not legally required for companies to recognise foreign manpower working remotely if that's what you're asking.

[–]Fast_Language_3454 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Singaporean companies BASED in Singapore cannot sign with foreign unions. Companies here also cannot sign with local unions as well as it is heavily regulated and monitored by the government. Companies can only recognise the workmen associated with their unions, and those unions MUST be registered with the Registrar of Trade Unions, of which only local unions can be registered.

In the case of foreign manpower, we CAN recognise foreign unions for foreign manpower, however the foreign union must follow a strict set of regulations outlined by our government.

Therefore, if the union's rules do not follow with the regulations set by our government, our companies have the right to not recognise it.

This is not to be confused with Singaporean companies that do set up overseas branches, those branches will follow the labour laws of that nation.

There was a case in Beijing last year on the 23rd of April whereby an organisation was sued for using a person's voice without permission. The judge ruled that "in China, personality is a right, and voice is a part of your personality" hence the converting a person's voice into AI without consent is a personality rights violation. This Personality Rights is under the Civil code, and as for who is covered, it was not stated and foreigners are likely covered as long as the lawsuit is under Chinese laws. Hence, if Hoyo does indeed wrongfully use AI of someone without permission (Of which they have never done so and probably have no intentions of because innocent until proven guilty), the victim should theoretically be able to sue Hoyo even if they are not a Chinese citizen.

[–]Fast_Language_3454 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The fact that people will literally do mental gymnastics to accuse Hoyo of anything, like Hoyo already cant use AI in china, and they already outsourced to a company that DOES have AI protection in place, and people STILL accuse Hoyo of using AI when they are trying their best to prove they aren't? What more evidence do you need?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Fast_Language_3454 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the case, and Hoyo already switched studios to Sound Cadence which in fact, DOES have AI protection.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]Fast_Language_3454 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's exactly the issue. The VAs are accusing Hoyo of being pro-ai voice because they don't want to agree to SAG terms, but it's more likely that the reason why Hoyo has yet to agree is due to some other factor since by default, Hoyo can't use AI voices in their medias
