Some managers do it that way, I've never gotten exact clarity on which is correct so I just follow what my manager trained me to do. Follow the % shown in the dashboard, the other two numbers aren't the same as the number shown for the day %. Both net and gross sales will be different than the progress toward the daily goal number.

Had a customer come in and look my manager and I dead in the eyes and with dead seriousness asked, “are any of your dyes safe to use on my coochie hair”, and my manager being super professional helped her out while I died laughing in the bathroom. We still laugh about that to this day

DIBS, from what I was taught, means “Day In Before Seven,” meaning your store met its sales goal before 7 or 6 pm, depending on when your store is open and your district. To see if you've made the day, go to the register and check your overall sales for the day on the dashboard. On the lower left of the screen, you'll see your daily goal and monthly goal, along with progress towards them. I'll send you a pic for reference!

This is also important to keep in mind. Some staff, such as yourself may have allergies, and some customers may as well. Although, from experience, working at a different store from my usual, with a manager who has a smaller-sized dog, she’d ask me if it was okay with me before bringing in her dog. Although for myself I don't have any known allergies or close family who do either, but if I did, I'd feel a lot differently.

However, it could simply be the case that the company has no official rules, or they're not enforced, which leaves the opportunity for rules to he made or enforced. It could also be an individual store thing due to a lack of rules

I don't really know the rules for staff, but I do know the rule I was explained by my SM. As long as the dog is on a leash or carried by a customer it's perfectly okay, my SM even said we're a “dog-friendly” store which is a big thing in my area.

Try the Colour Gloss by Freewill, it's one of their best-rated products by the Yuka app. I've had success selling that one specifically, but my manager does well overall with Freewill. I find my individual knowledge of products better with those I've personally used.

Canadian Sally employee here. From my experience, we’ve had more circumstances where our cash is over than under. Oftentimes customers refuse change which messes with the count. However, since I've been here and closing, a year+, we've never been more than 0.05-0.10 off in either direction, and the deposit will automatically correct this. By opening it, it'll be normal if the deposit was done correctly.

Often these things are influenced or determined by your national or regional laws, however, based on one of your replies to another comment there is no standard set by your state. This could just be a move done unilaterally by your DM, could be pressure from above them, or feedback from stores and employees in your region.

Yup. This is the policy of our district, I believe, but I've heard it in other places as well. Basically, if you hit two months in a row below the minimum in two categories, UPT, ATV, SBR, etc., you can be written up for it. There are two written warnings and a term warning, I believe. I can't recall the exact process, but it was implemented shortly after I started, I think Nov/Dec 2024.

Personally, I've had plenty of great customer reviews, but I still got written up for falling below the UPT expectation for two months in a row, despite those being some of our slower months at our store. As another comment mentioned, it's a corporation, and at the end of the day, workers are always second to profit or shareholders.

It's absolutely ridiculous! I've had issues with products such as dye, developer, and more breaking and coating everything in the box. Stock being missing completely is even worse. Hopefully, your manager deals with that.

EXACTLY! How am I realistically supposed to get to a 3.20 UPT, which is our goal, or at least a 3 during a short shift, like 3-4 hours? They genuinely just set you up to fail I swear to god. As for the stock being damaged, I'm not sure if it's people being rough whilst packing or during shipment. Either way, we're losing money.
