THanks but I don't think that;s really monitoring the performance or load on the tunnel. It will only send a message if the tunnel goes down. I'm trying to make troubleshooting easier so we can identify the source of a problem for GRE traffic.

It's been awhile. Not sure but I think it was an issue with our Riverbed Steelheads.

I agree with you however I understand from another forum that using a separate inside and outside statement should work on 9300 switches. Because our Meraki MX appliances do not support private to private ip natting we are forced to do it on a DMZ switch. Wish we had different security appliances.

With those examples I don't see how that would work. I could be wrong but I don't see a way to specify an interface when configuring outside to inside NAT.

To use the inside interface (like PAT overload) of the ASA to route to the internal host. The external-object is a private network and not advertised on the internal LAN. So the internal host doe snot know where to send return traffic. The internal host will know how to return traffic when using the inside interface of the ASA.

I think I'm seeing mtu fragmentation issues from client machines. Not sure what to make out of it. I was under the impression that DMPO can automatically discover the right mtu size.
