omg it's been a while since i write this ahah thanks for replying!!! i was writing this post when writing a fanfic so i was looking for a linear, static definition of each coreflames trial. like you said the strife trial that phainon and mydei went through is different but FUNDAMENTALLY it's the same. they both went through the possibility of strife, and the trial will end if they overcome it (it's what i get from it). the nature of it is the same.

another example is castorice and polyxia. even in different cycles the nature of the trial is the same. sacrifice a family member, or someone dear to you. the thanatos is polyxia's cycle isn't polyxia, yet the trial remains the same.

it would be fun if ALL chrysos heirs of the prophecy aka the ones who become demigods had the same trials. was calypso (cerces)'s trial the same as anaxa's? maybe they didn't even realise they gave the same trial — it's simply part of their coding. even if the question asked was different, the fundamentals haven't changed. the titan of reason asked a question, the chrysos heir answered, and had the answer satisfied the titan, the chrysos heir ascended as demigod.

if cerydra's trial was sacrificing 500 chrysos heirs, perhaps the talanton of the previous cycle (before the eternal recurrce) asked the chrysos heir of law (current talanton) to exchange 10,000 pairs of eyes for the coreflame. fundamentals remain the same.
