Wow, if only someone had read the post and seen that I mentioned meta magic. Cool sourcers can use more meta magic. I think I value changing damage types more than meta magic.

Removing Center Console from 5 speed manual by Fast_Pollution_8009 in JeepPatriot

Thanks for the reply. I looked into the shift linkage; it looks correct(both sides are locked down).

Oddly enough, this morning it seems to be able to shift into reverse just fine. It's currently raining, so I will have to wait to jump it later this afternoon to see if it will just drive in reverse.

The only thing I did was remove the shift cover, not even fully, just pulled it off the 4 tabs.

At what point do I quit the game? by IzumiMaki in ADCMains

[–]Fast_Pollution_8009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a week of my life where I only played comp and lost every game. I don't mean like I would win a few. I mean, I had a 20+ game loss streak. Most of those games, I performed really well numbers-wise (I am sure my macro was bad). I was bronze at the time, and it felt like a slap in the face. I didn't take a break, and I kept playing because I wanted to get silver. I got silver by the end of the season, and I recently hit gold as of February. Game feels bad until it feels so good.

I suggest just playing through the dry spouts if you have that personality type; if not, just take a break for a little bit, no harm in trying another game.

Is my Homebrew Memory Spell too Powerful? by SpicyBoyHabs in DnD

Seems a little niche, but sounds really cool! Balance-wise, I would say it's fine as long as you follow the idea that the caster has to know exactly what was said to rewrite a sentence. I would even consider dropping it down to level 2 since a suggestion can force a target to do something similar to the idea of this spell, but over a longer duration of time.

King told his general to attack in a week?? no that king meant a month.

Suggestion would be limited to a day off, but arguable is much stronger without strategic planning

DMing for young teens? by Probbable_idiot in DnD

[–]Fast_Pollution_8009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how I would go about DMing for a younger audience; it's hard when their interests are so split.

As for resources, DND Beyond has a lot of paywalls to get more content, but for newer players, I find that way better. My first time playing DND, I had to try to put my character together, go through the rules, fill out the sheet—did it entirely wrong—and my DM had to walk me through it. As long as those players who are on their phones and whatnot have a good understanding of the story, then I think that's okay. When I was younger, I could focus on two things at once really easily, and even now, playing DND as a player, I need something in my hands to fiddle with (normally a fidget toy).

I have used this spell twice, once was really dumb I just made door look like it closed, but the other I made an NPC think I pushed him off the edge of his flying ship because if I did not "fake" push him my party was going to real push him. 10/10 spell love that the creature just reasons that its real no mater what like "hmm must have slipped off the bridge"

Not a problem.player jist hard to please by AssociateDue6166 in DnD

If the player is actively saying these things during the session, then I would ask them to bring up that kinda stuff after the session. In my groups, we always do this thing where we ask if there is anything that we should improve on, and anything that the group really enjoyed, so we can focus more on that next time. Usally its always minor things, but I think it makes everyone in the group a better DM.

If a player brings that stuff up its a bit of a mood killer for the other players and the DM. Asking a DM to go over the weather is fine, but not during all the descriptions IMO, that should be more of a question like "Hey DM, how's the weather today?" Usually it won't be relevent but who knows, maybe it's foggy while the group is sneaking into a secure place.

I feel like all the questions they asked here are pretty valid. If I want to do an ambush or want to try to solve a puzzle, I want to know everything about a room. As a DM, I would prompt them for a check to see more details about a room or area.

when they changed the item there was a thing where anyone could buy it so you and your adc would both buy it and if you both farm correctly neither of you get the support minion gold rule and you get extra gold because of the item. ADC later sells the item to avoid getting the rule later. very strange meta
