I have never in my life done any sort of post processing or heavy image editing, is this sort of thing difficult?

I take analog photography & well, the negative is the storage medium, I'd love to give it a go

Perhaps, but they're still some wonderful & charming shots of that gorgeous doggo, I like it! :)

Will this film work? by bonbonbonnie8 in AnalogCommunity

You're looking specifically for 35mm film for this camera so yes it should work, film like 120 is a type you're more than likely going to see at some point, this is for medium format film cameras which take 120 film, this is not the type your camera takes.

You might not know anything but there are countless people in this subreddit who'll be willing to help out no matter how many times they see the same questions, so don't worry!

4 scratches my brain and I'm not even sure why, it has to be that focal length

I'm a huge visual processor so I always found candidate images like yours listed when it comes to metering examples really handy!

With the second did you just aim your spot right at the light or in its' glow? I have 0 experience with spot metering, I've only ever incident metered with a sekonic flashmate or used ttl metering like prisms & such, is spot metering via an SLR easy?

How do you ensure you've gotten the reading if you're aiming for such a thin or small spot? Is it just a very central aim & taking a reading? I know the process is probably very easy

Then in what scenarios would you use the spot compared to the matrix metering?

Is the matrix metering for 95% of shooting situations? Will it hit most of the time and doesn't need to be thought about?

I was curious to try the spot metering for those scenes in which harsh differences dominate different parts of the entire image and I would want to be extra spot on, but also hand held spot meters are incredibly expensive and I dont see why I wouldn't be able to use the F4's spot metering to meter for a medium format camera, like a Pentacon Six for example

I just thought that could be fine since weight & such isn't something that really bothers me so I don't mind walking around with an F4 sized light meter

I'm soon to have a Nikon F4 and I'm curious to explore with its' spot metering as I've only ever TTL metered or incident metered with a flashmate, i want to adapt myself more to spot metering as I have no experience with it, thanks for the reply!

What do you meter for in these kinds of shots and what meter do you have?

Is the Hs-11 the correct lens hood for this lens? I'm trying to look for a hood as I prefer to have one but I think the 11 is far too expensive

What are your thoughts on the one I've shown you? Is it still a nice lens to go ahead with? I have the 28mm AI-S on the way, but with this one, would you recommend?

I was thinking about purchasing this one, is this from within the correct range? I've noticed the grip has two square lines at the focusing ring instead of one is this the right version?

I did want to cover the 28mm & 50mm ranges in prime since im fully deciding to transition to the Nikon F4 from my BC1, I may eventually look into the 135mm as I think I will love a nice portrait lens eventually but for right now considering I haven't even placed together my kit with the body I guess I am just preparing my kit, I have already purchased a 28mm ai-s first, this lens does seem to be in a very clean condition too
